LYNN H. ARENDS is both an attorney and managing broker with Lynn Arends Law Group PLLC & Lynn Arends Realty Group. Her practice is in the area of pre- and post-foreclosure workouts and frequently involves repayment/forbearance plans, loan modifications and short sale transactions. Ms. Arends recently served on the Department of Licensing/Real Estate Commission Short Sale Task Force. She is active in a number of legal and civic organizations and is a speaker at seminars, including the Washington State Bar Association, King County Bar Association, and various real estate offices (Windermere, John L. Scott and Keller Williams). She also is an instructor with the Washington Association of Realtors. Ms. Arends offers Clock Hour classes to Realtors throughout the state. Ms. Arends earned her B.A. degree from Hunter College, City University of New York, and her J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from Hofstra University School of Business. RONALD G. BROWN is an attorney in Seattle, Washington. His bankruptcy practice has included representation of debtors, creditors and trustees. Mr. Brown has taught as an adjunct professor of business law and also serves as a receiver in state court proceedings. He earned his J.D. degree from the University of Washington School of Law and has been a Panel Chapter 7 Trustee since 1986. KAREN L. GIBBON is an attorney with the Law Offices of Karen L. Gibbon, P.S. She concentrates her practice in the areas of real estate foreclosures and creditors' rights and remedies, including judicial and non-judicial real property foreclosures, post foreclosure evictions, and the representation of creditors in bankruptcy proceedings. Ms. Gibbon earned her B.A. degree from the University of Washington and her J.D. degree from the University of Washington School of Law. She is a member of the Washington State and King County bar associations, and is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education seminars relating to real estate foreclosures. JEFFREY B. WELLS is the owner of the Law Offices of Jeffrey B. Wells, where he practices in the areas of business and consumer bankruptcy in Chapters 7, 11 and 13. He has spoken at numerous seminars, primarily from the debtor's perspective. Mr. Wells is a member of the King County and Washington State bar associations. He earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from the University of Washington and his J.D. degree from Willamette University. Mr. Wells is a past city councilman for the City of Mountlake Terrace, where he also served on their board of adjustment.
