COLIN J. FOLAWN is a shareholder with the law firm of Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, P.C., where he limits his practice primarily to complex contract disputes, business torts, products liability, and legal malpractice/ethics. Mr. Folawn has presented briefing and oral arguments before Divisions I and II of the Washington State Court of Appeals, as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He has tried civil jury cases in Washington courts, and written and argued several motions in state and federal courts. He is admitted to practice in Washington and Oregon. He earned his B.M. degree from Willamette University and his J.D. degree, summa cum laude, from Seattle University School of Law. Mr. Folawn is a frequent speaker on legal ethics and loss prevention for lawyers. DANFORD D. GRANT is a partner and chair of the Employment Practice Group at Stafford Frey Cooper, P.C. in Seattle. He represents both plaintiffs and defendants in complex employment, business, and torts litigation, and is often called upon by other lawyers to associate as litigation counsel and bring their cases to a successful resolution. Mr. Grant spends much of his time on cases involving disability discrimination, pregnancy discrimination, business torts, privacy, and catastrophic accidents. His major clients have included the Olympic Pipe Line Company; MEDNAX Services; Pediatrix Medical Group; American Anesthesiology; Columbia Physical Therapy; Green River Community College; the State of Washington; the City of Seattle; Primus Knowledge Solutions; Martha & Mary at Home; and numerous professors, scientists, athletes, and children. CHRISTOPHER H. HOWARD is a shareholder in the Seattle office of Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, P.C., where he focuses his practice in the defense of professionals in the medical, legal, financial, hospitality and real estate industries. Mr. Howard's representative work includes the defense of hospitals, physicians and nursing homes in medical malpractice claims and licensure matters; defense of attorneys in legal malpractice claims; defense of hotels and restaurants in premises liability, product liability and alcohol service litigation; general defense of self-insured clients; and litigation relating to internet commerce and general commercial litigation. He handles insurance coverage matters and risk management for self-insured companies. Mr. Howard has extensive trial experience in state, federal and administrative law courts and handles appeals in both state and federal courts. He is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and has served on its Interprofessional Committee and its Rules of Professional Conduct Committee. Mr. Howard is an active member in the Defense Research Institute, Washington State Defense Trial Lawyers Association and the Washington State Society of Healthcare Attorneys. He is a frequent speaker to professionals and employers on liability, ethics and risk management issues. Mr. Howard has been recognized as one of Washington State's Super Lawyers by Washington Law & Politics (2001). He earned his B.A. degree, with honors, from Johns Hopkins University and his J.D. degree from Stanford Law School.
