THOMAS A. BARKEWITZ is an attorney with Alston, Courtnage & Bassetti LLP. He represents a wide variety of institutional and individual clients in real estate sales and acquisitions, financing and commercial leasing of projects in Washington and throughout the United States. Mr. Barkewitz also advises individuals and companies in the formation and structuring of business entities, and in business restructuring and workouts. He has practiced for more than 20 years. Since joining Alston, Courtnage & Bassetti LLP in 1999, Mr. Barkewitz has worked with clients in the purchase and sale, leasing and financing of high-rise office buildings, suburban industrial and office parks, apartment and mixed-use projects, retail shopping centers, complex public/private town center projects, assisted living facilities and skilled nursing centers, with a number of transactions exceeding $100,000,000. He is a frequent speaker at industry and bar association seminars on real estate topics. Mr. Barkewitz has acted as associate editor of the Washington Real Property Deskbook, and is the author of several chapters in that and other Washington real estate publications. He graduated, summa cum laude, from Niagara University and earned his J.D. degree, with honors, from Rutgers University School of Law, where he was a Philip J. Levin scholar. Mr. Barkewitz is a member of the Washington State Bar Association (member of the Real Property and Corporate Counsel sections) and the King County Bar Association. COLLYER CHURCH is a senior vice president and senior underwriter with Stewart Title Guaranty Company. His main responsibilities include title insurance underwriting, reviewing high liability policies prior to issuance, and guidance and instruction of title personnel. Mr. Church has lectured on behalf of the California Land Title Association, Alaska Land Title Association and the Washington Land Title Association. He has been a guest lecturer at the University of Southern California School of Law and Pepperdine University School of Law. Mr. Church also has been a guest lecturer in extension courses at UCLA, and has spoken to various state and local real estate brokerage and escrow groups. He has more than 38 years of experience in title underwriting, and has been a consultant and expert witness in real estate and title insurance litigation in state and federal courts of California. Mr. Church earned his B.A. degree from Albion College and his J.D. degree from the University of Chicago Law School. MICHAEL D. DAUDT is a founding member at the law firm of Terrell Marshall Daudt & Willie PLLC, where he handles litigation involving construction defects in condominiums and commercial buildings, homeowner association issues, LLC and partnership disputes, alcoholic beverage distribution and regulation, insurance coverage, condemnation, land use, environmental and real property matters. He also handles real estate transactions and business formations. Mr. Daudt is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and the State Bar of California. He was named Rising Star by Washington Law & Politics magazine from 2003 through 2005. Mr. Daudt also is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education seminars in several areas including construction defects, insurance and homeowner associations. He earned his B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from Abilene Christian University and his J.D. degree from Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California, Berkeley. Mr. Daudt was associate editor of the California Law Review. MICHAEL R. GARNER is a shareholder with Stokes Lawrence, P.S., where he focuses his practice on commercial real estate transactions, emphasizing development, financing, purchases and sales, property management and leasing, commercial litigation, and business advice. He is a frequent speaker on real estate topics. Mr. Garner has addressed two annual meetings of the American Bar Association (Real Property, Probate and Trust Section), and made presentations at local seminars on purchases and sales, financing and leasing. He is a certified real estate instructor. Mr. Garner is member of the Washington, Hawaii and King County bar associations. He earned his A.B. degree from Stanford University and his J.D. degree from Boalt Hall, University of California at Berkeley. RONALD W. GOSS is an in-house lawyer with KeyBank, where he handles commercial loan workouts, business bankruptcies and related litigation. Before joining KeyBank in 2001, he practiced bankruptcy law with firms in Salt Lake City and Seattle. Mr. Goss earned his B.A. degree from Colorado State University and his J.D. degree from the University of Utah. He served as law clerk to the Honorable Glen E. Clark, Chief U.S. Bankruptcy Judge, District of Utah. Mr. Goss is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, and is admitted to practice before the 9th and 10th Circuit courts of Appeal and the U.S. Supreme Court. GEORGE S. TREPERINAS is a shareholder with Karr Tuttle Campbell, where he focuses his practice on the representation of businesses (closely held to publicly traded) and high net-worth individuals, both within and outside of the United States. Mr. Treperinas assists clients with their general business needs, including formation, equity and debt financing, strategic planning and succession, mergers and acquisitions, financial restructurings, and reorganizations. These businesses include manufacturers, start-ups, emerging technology companies, engineering and securities firms, hospitality enterprises, wholesalers and distributors, service businesses, commercial real estate enterprises, and lenders. With the beginning of the economic downturn in the Seattle metropolitan area, Mr. Treperinas has increasingly assisted his clients in financial restructurings (workouts), reorganizations in Chapter 11 bankruptcies and related creditor issues (including representation of creditor committees). He is a member of the Karr Tuttle Campbell's Board of Directors, and is active in the Washington State and King County bar associations.
