JEAN N. DIVINE provides forensic accounting services and assists with investigations involving fraud, money laundering, and asset forfeiture. After graduation from law school, she became a Special Agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Sacramento, California. where she investigated domestic terrorism and espionage crimes. Ms. Divine later joined Coopers and Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) in Seattle, where she supervised tax consulting and compliance for domestic and international clients. She retired after 18 years of service at the Criminal Investigation Division of the IRS, where she investigated tax, fraud, and money laundering violations as she held increasingly responsible positions within CID. These included service as a Supervisory Special Agent in Seattle, Senior Analyst in Washington, DC, Criminal Investigation Attaché in Hong Kong, and an Assistant Special Agent in Charge in Los Angeles. Ms. Divine has developed and presented seminars for law enforcement academies in the US and overseas, as well as programs for attorneys and Certified Public Accountants. She earned her J.D. degree from the Seattle University School of Law and her B.A. degree from the University of Washington. Ms. Divine is a member of the Washington State Bar and a Certified Public Accountant. SEAN V. SMALL is an attorney with Lasher Holzapfel Sperry & Ebberson, PLLC, where his main areas of practice are bankruptcy and creditor's rights, employment, and litigation. His practice focuses on complex civil and commercial litigation. He has assisted clients in resolving disputes involving employment discrimination, business and commercial disputes, real estate litigation, debtor/creditor rights, and construction litigation. Mr. Small is a member of the Washington State Bar Association (Construction Law Section), King County Bar Association, American Bar Association and Washington Attorneys Assisting Community Organizations(WAACO). He earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from St. Joseph's University and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Seattle University School of Law. BENJAMIN I. VANDENBERGHE is a partner with Montgomery Purdue Blankinship & Austin PLLC. He began his career at Montgomery Purdue Blankinship & Austin PLLC as a civil and commercial litigator in 2003 and became a partner in 2011. Mr. VandenBerghe's practice focuses mainly on civil, commercial, and business litigation, including specifically the areas of products liability defense, employment claims and employer counseling, insurance coverage disputes, construction, real estate disputes, landlord-tenant, franchise litigation, and complex creditor actions. He also represents individuals and professional fiduciaries in probate and trust litigation. Mr. VandenBerghe has experience in state and federal courts, both trial and appellate, and has extensive mediation and arbitration experience. His approach to practice is to collaborate with his clients to proactively minimize liability before disputes arise, and to aggressively defend or pursue claims with an eye toward effective resolution either through negotiated settlement, trial, or appeal. Mr. VandenBerghe is a member of the American and Washington State bar associations. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Western and Eastern districts of Washington. Mr. VandenBerghe earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from the University of Washington and his J.D. degree from the University of Washington School of Law. MEGAN S. WELLS is director of Navigant Consulting, Inc. She has more than 19 years of experience assisting legal counsel, businesses, government entities, and individuals with a wide variety of economic, financial, and consulting assignments. Ms. Wells was previously a vice president at Tucker Alan Inc., a national litigation and business consulting firm acquired by Navigant Consulting in January of 2004. She has qualified and testified as an expert in cost issues in Federal District Court, and numerous arbitrations and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) proceedings. Ms. Wells earned her B.A. degree from the University of Washington. She is a Certified Management Accountant. DAVID L. YOUNG is a litigation attorney at Lane Powell PC, where he focuses his practice on securities litigation. He has a wide range of experience that includes complex commercial litigation, class action and banking litigation. Mr. Young is a certified public accountant. He earned his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Washington State University and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School. Mr. Young is a member of the Asian Bar Association of Washington and the King County Bar Association.
