JOSEPH A. GREENBAUM is a highly experienced litigator with a consistent track record of successfully handling and resolving complex litigation matters. For more than 25 years, Mr. Greenbaum's career focus has been construction litigation, construction contracts and construction insurance coverage. Since 2005, he has practiced construction law in Vermont, where he has represented the majority of Vermont's top ten construction entities. During this period, Mr. Greenbaum has litigated numerous multi-million dollar matters involving luxury condominiums, public work projects and major roadway projects. He also has been charged with the prosecution of numerous six and seven-figure claims against the Vermont Agency of Transportation. Prior to opening his own practice, Mr. Greenbaum was a senior attorney at one of Vermont's best known construction law firms. Previously, he was specially retained by Vermont's second largest law firm as a litigation consultant for major cases. Mr. Greenbaum earned his B.A. degree from Rutgers University and his J.D. degree from California Western School of Law. ROLF M. STERNBERG is the founding member of Barr, Sternberg, Moss, Lawrence & Silver, P.C. He also maintains a law practice in nearby Hoosick Falls, New York under the name of Sternberg & Gorman, LLP. Mr. Sternberg is a former president of the Vermont Trial Lawyers Association, a faculty member of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and has practiced for more than 34 years in New York State and more than 28 years in Vermont. He has an active litigation practice in the fields of personal injury and insurance related claims. In addition, Mr. Sternberg has developed a concentration in estate planning and administration and real estate law in both New York and Vermont. He has served on several community boards of trustees and is currently a member of the board of directors of the Vermont Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Sternberg has lectured on estate planning and administration, insurance law and personal injury. He is also the host of "Talking Law"- WBTN radio show. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association (Elder Law Section) and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. Mr. Sternberg earned his B.A. degree from Syracuse University, his M.A. degree from New York University and his J.D. degree from Brooklyn Law School. MARK F. WERLE is an attorney with Ryan Smith & Carbine, Ltd. His practice consists of representing insured individuals, resorts and institutions in defense of lawsuits, in both Vermont and New York. He leads the firm's New York practice group. Mr. Werle also represents insurers and insureds in insurance coverage disputes. He is also active in commercial and real estate litigation, including foreclosure in New York State. His commercial litigation practice includes the representation of institutional lenders and other businesses in the workout of troubled debt and asset recovery and the representation of parties in intra- and inter-corporate litigation. He has successfully tried numerous cases to verdict over the past 15 years. Mr. Werle also has experience in advising utilities on issues pertaining to rates, litigation and public relations. He earned his B.A. degree from Hofstra University and his J.D. degree from Hofstra University School of Law. Mr. Werle is a member of the Defense Research Institute, Northern New England Defense Counsel Association and the American Inns of Court. He is also a member of the American, Vermont, New York State and Rutland County bar associations.
