PATRICK M. ANKUDA is an attorney with the law firm of Parker & Ankuda, P.C., where his practice areas include personal injury, divorce, parental rights, real estate, and civil litigation and probate. He earned his B.A. degree from Columbia University and his J.D. degree from Syracuse University. Mr. Ankuda is a member of the American Bar Association. KURT M. HUGHES is a partner with Murdoch Hughes & Twarog Attorneys at Law, P.C., where he practices in the areas of family law, adoptions, assisted fertility law and criminal defense. Mr. Hughes is a member of the Vermont Bar Association, the Vermont Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the American Bar Association and the Vermont Association of Justice. He also is the only practicing member of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys in Vermont and is a current charter member of the academy's new sister organization, the American Academy of Assisted Reproductive Technology Attorneys (AAARTA). Mr. Hughes earned his B.A. degree from Colgate University and his J.D. degree from Vermont Law School. BRIAN K. VALENTINE is a partner in the law firm of Mickenberg, Dunn, Lachs & Smith, PLC. He has extensive litigation and transactional experience, with an emphasis in family law, estate planning and probate, and appellate advocacy. He is a CLE presenter on estate planning, probate law and family law. Mr. Valentine also volunteers at the Chittenden Family Court as a guardian ad litem, as an instructor of the pro se divorce education course, and as a guardian in probate court. He previously has litigated complex matters before state and federal courts in New York, New Jersey, Washington, and Vermont. Mr. Valentine earned his B.A. degree from Fordham University and his J.D. degree from Fordham Law School, where he was a member of the Fordham International Law Journal. He is admitted to practice in Vermont and Washington. Mr. Valentine is a member of the Vermont, New York State and Chittenden County bar associations.
