GLENN A. JARRETT is the principal of the Jarrett Law Office in South Burlington, Vermont, where he concentrates his practice on estate planning, elder law, Medicaid planning, special needs planning, and probate and trust administration. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the Society of Financial Service Professionals, where he serves as president of the Vermont Chapter. Mr. Jarrett has presented continuing legal education seminars on a variety of estate and elder law subjects for attorneys and frequently presents estate planning seminars to the public. He also has appeared numerous times on television and radio interview shows to speak about estate planning and elder law topics. Mr. Jarrett is a member of the Chittenden County, Vermont and New York bar associations, and the District of Columbia Bar. He is a member and past chairman of the Burlington (Vermont) Development Review Board, is past chairman of the Burlington Zoning Board of Adjustment and is a member of the VERG, the Vermont Elder Resource Group. Mr. Jarrett earned his A.B. degree from Middlebury College, with honors, and his J.D. degree from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was a senior editor of the Georgetown's International Law Review. He has been a board member of several area nonprofit organizations. JENNIFER R. LUITJENS is Certified as an Elder Law Attorney (CELA) by the National Elder Law Foundation (NELF), a non-profit organization accredited by the American Bar Association. She has practiced exclusively in the field of estate planning and elder law since earning her J.D. degree from Boston College Law School and became associated with the Jarrett Law Office, an estate and elder law firm in South Burlington, Vermont. Currently licensed in both Vermont and Massachusetts, Ms. Luitjens was previously associated with firms in Essex Junction, Vermont, Louisville, Kentucky, and Middlesex County, Massachusetts, including her own practice in Groton, Massachusetts (Massachusetts does not recognize elder law as a specialty). Ms. Luitjens serves on the Board of Directors and is the treasurer of the National Elder Law Foundation (NELF), the organization which certifies elder law attorneys and is dedicated to the development and improvement of the professional competence of lawyers in the area of elder law. She has been a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) for more than 10 years, and is the immediate past-president of the Vermont Chapter of NAELA. She earned her B.S. degree, magna cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She has presented at various CLE programs as well as public venues on topics germane to estate planning elder law. DIANNE R. PALLMERINE is a Certified Elder Law Attorney as certified by the National Elder Law Foundation. Ms. Pallmerine is a sole practitioner in Colchester where she concentrates her practice in the areas of elder law, estate planning and probate. She earned her B.S. degree from Yale University, her Ph.D. from Dartmouth College and did post-doctoral work at Rockefeller University. Ms. Pallmerine graduated with a J.D. degree, cum laude, from Pace University School of Law with a certification in health law, and she completed the post-graduate Certificate in Gerontology Program from Rutgers University School of Social Work. Ms. Pallmerine is a member of the Vermont, New York State and New Jersey State bar associations, and is the acting president of the newly formed Vermont Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
