MICHAEL D. CACCAVO is a sole practitioner in Barre, Vermont, where he practices in the areas of estate planning, Medicaid planning, real estate and probate. He has spoken on life and estate planning matters for the Vermont State Employees Retirement Office, the Vermont Bar Association, the Alzheimer's Association, the Vermont Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired, Vermont Legal Aid, Central Vermont Council on Aging, New York Life Insurance Co., National Business Institute, The Strategic Alliance Group, and various other educational and investment organizations. Mr. Caccavo has been asked to testify before the Vermont Legislature on various elder law issues. He has served on the Marshfield Planning Commission and was a Marshfield Selectman for nine years (chairman for three years). Mr. Caccavo is a member of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, the Vermont Bar Association (Elder Law Committee), the American Bar Association (Law Practice Management Section), and the Washington County Bar Association (vice president). He earned his B.A. degree from Tufts University and his J.D. degree from Vermont Law School. Mr. Caccavo is admitted before the U.S. District Court for the District of Vermont. GLENN A. JARRETT is the principal of Jarrett Law Office in South Burlington, Vermont, where he concentrates his practice on estate planning, elder law, Medicaid planning, special needs planning, and probate and trust administration. He is a certified elder law attorney, as certified by the National Elder Law Foundation. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the Society of Financial Service Professionals. Mr. Jarrett has presented continuing legal education seminars on a variety of estate and elder law subjects for attorneys, and frequently presents educational seminars to the public. He also has appeared numerous times on television and radio interview shows to speak about estate planning and elder law topics. Mr. Jarrett is a member of the Chittenden County, Vermont and New York bar associations, and the District of Columbia Bar (inactive). He is a member and past chairman of the Burlington (Vermont) Development Review Board; past chairman of the Burlington Zoning Board of Adjustment; and a member of the Vermont Elder Resource Group (VERG). Mr. Jarrett is vice-president of the Champlain Valley Agency on Aging (CVAA). He earned his A.B. degree, with honors, from Middlebury College, and his J.D. degree from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was a senior editor of the Georgetown's International Law Review. Mr. Jarrett has been a board member of several area nonprofit organizations. DIANNE R. PALLMERINE is a certified elder law attorney, as certified by the National Elder Law Foundation. She is a sole practitioner in Colchester, where she concentrates her practice in the areas of elder law, estate planning and probate. Ms. Pallmerine earned her B.S. degree from Yale University, her Ph.D. from Dartmouth College and did post-doctoral work at Rockefeller University. She graduated with a J.D. degree, cum laude, from Pace University School of Law, with a certification in health law, and she completed the post-graduate certificate in gerontology program from Rutgers University School of Social Work. Ms. Pallmerine is a member of the Vermont, New York State and New Jersey State bar associations, and is the acting president of the newly formed Vermont Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
