BONNIE BADGEWICK SHAPPY is a partner at the law firm of Hayes & Windish. Ms. Shappy's practice is focused on litigation in both the civil and administrative fields. She represents and advises clients in all aspects of civil litigation. Her primary clients are defendants, either insurance carriers, policyholders, businesses or employers. Ms. Shappy also has a broad general civil practice offering a variety of litigation and transactional services to her clients. She regularly appears in state and federal court, as well as before the Vermont Department of Labor. Ms. Shappy is admitted to the Vermont Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court for the District of Vermont, and the New Hampshire Supreme Court. She earned her B.A. degree, cum laude, from Siena College and her J.D. degree from Suffolk University Law School. Ms. Shappy is a member of the Vermont, New Hampshire and American bar associations, Defense Research Institute, Vermont Claims Association and The Sterry-Waterman Chapter of American Inns of Court CONSTANCE T. PELL is an attorney with the law firm of Ryan Smith & Carbine, LTD, where her areas of practice include employment and civil litigation and labor and employment law. Ms. Pell's practice consists largely of representing insured individuals and companies in the defense of lawsuits. Additionally, she advises employers on employment law issues. Ms. Pell is also experienced in landlord/tenant litigation. She has experience in representing ski areas, medical providers, realtors and others in litigation matters. Ms. Pell is fluent in German and worked for Swarovski, a large Austrian crystal company, before her law career. She earned her B.S. degree from the University of Vermont and her J.D. degree from the University of Widener School of Law. Ms. Pell's bar admissions include the State of Vermont and U.S. District Court, District of Vermont. She is a member of the Rutland County, Vermont and American bar associations.
