RICHARD E. HAGERTY is of counsel in the Tysons Corner office of Troutman Sanders LLP, where he practices in the areas of commercial litigation, creditor's rights and bankruptcy, and title insurance claims and coverage. He regularly represents secured and unsecured creditors in commercial bankruptcy matters throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Mr. Hagerty is admitted to practice in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. He is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute; the Bankruptcy Bar Association (District of Maryland); the Northern Virginia Bankruptcy Bar Association; the Virginia, Maryland State, Fairfax, Montgomery County, and Maryland bar associations; and the Maryland Land Title Association. Mr. Hagerty has spoken a number of times on bankruptcy issues, most recently as part of a seminar entitled "Advanced Judgment Enforcement in Virginia" presented in Arlington, Virginia in September 2005. Mr. Hagerty earned his B.A. degree, with honors, from Michigan State University and his J.D. degree, with honors, from George Washington University Law School. ALEXANDER M. LAUGHLIN is a partner in the McLean office of Wiley Rein LLP, where he focuses in the areas of bankruptcy practice and financial restructuring. He regularly represents clients on all aspects of distressed asset sales in bankruptcy, complex financial restructure planning, creditors rights litigation, loan restructure, and workout agreements. Mr. Laughlin earned his B.S. degree from James Madison University and his J.D. degree from Gonzaga University School of Law. He is board certified by the American Board of Certification in Business Bankruptcy Law. Mr. Laughlin also is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Northern Virginia Bankruptcy Bar Association, and has formerly served as both the president and vice president of the Northern Virginia Bankruptcy Bar Association. He is a member of Virginia State and District of Columbia Bars; and the Maryland State Bar Association. RICHARD M. POLLAK is the managing partner of the Tysons Corner office of Troutman Sanders LLP, and the practice group leader for the firm's lending and structured finance practice group. He also is a member of the firm's real estate finance and intellectual property practice groups. Mr. Pollak represents financial institutions in a wide range of financing transactions, including structuring, preparing and negotiating loan documents in connection with secured and unsecured credit facilities, loan workouts and restructurings, bankruptcy and creditor's rights and lending to high tech companies. His practice involves both domestic and multi-national transactions, including secured financing in the People's Republic of China, Hong Kong, Cayman Islands and Europe. Mr. Pollak has significant experience in work outs and restructurings, asset based lending, real estate lending, secured financings to government contractors, lending to high-tech companies, lending to high net worth individuals, lending to purchasers of commercial paper, franchisees and health care providers. He earned his B.A. degree from Colgate University and his J.D. degree from American University Washington College of Law. Mr. Pollak is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Virginia and Maryland. ROBERT K. RICHARDSON is an attorney with the Fairfax law firm of Odin, Feldman & Pittleman, P.C., where he practices in the areas of construction law, real estate law, commercial litigation, title insurance, and mechanics' liens. He is a frequent speaker on construction and real estate issues for various professional groups. Mr. Richardson earned his A.B. degree from Duke University and his J.D. degree from The George Washington University. He is a member of the Fairfax County Bar, the Virginia State Bar (former chairman, Board of Governors for Construction Law Section), the District of Columbia Bar (member, Litigation Section), and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. MARTIN YEAGER is a shareholder with the law firm of Land Carroll & Blair, P.C., where he is an experienced trial lawyer, concentrating on real estate related matters, including construction, landlord/tenant, creditor's rights bankruptcy, and collection law. He has lectured on bankruptcy, litigation, mechanic's liens and landlord/tenant matters for clients and commercial business associations. Mr. Yeager is admitted to practice in Virginia, Washington D.C., and Maryland. He earned his B.A. degree from the University of Connecticut and his J.D. degree from George Washington University.
