JOHN S. BURTON is principal of the law firm of J.S. Burton, P.L.C. in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He has extensive hands-on experience with sophisticated aspects of estate planning, asset protection, business and elder law. Mr. Burton is an accredited attorney representative with the U.S. Veterans Administration and is recognized as a Certified Estate Planner (C.E.P.) with the National Institute of Certified Estate Planners. MONTALVO is an attorney with the Alexandria firm of Puckett & Faraj, PC. He served more than 21 years in the U.S. Marine Corps with duties involving combat operations as a supply officer with the 1st Tank Battalion, and as a judge advocate, acting as both a military prosecutor and defense counsel. Mr. Montalvo's practice provides representation to military members in all aspects of administrative matters relating to the correction of military records, military discharges and security clearance issues, and he holds a Top Secret/SCI security clearance. He has frequently advised generals and top ranking officers on a wide range of critical legal matters and provided representation during Inspector General investigations. He provides representation to military members in matters related to their employment rights under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA). He earned his B.S. degree, with honors, from the University of South Carolina and his J.D. degree, with honors, from Temple University School of Law. NEAL A. PUCKETT is an attorney with the Alexandria firm of Puckett & Faraj, PC. He is a former Marine who has represented military service members in Afghanistan, England, Germany, Hungary, Iraq, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Spain and throughout the U.S. Mr. Puckett is a nationally renowned military criminal defense attorney who has appeared on all major cable and broadcast networks numerous times, either on behalf of his clients or as an expert commentator on military law. Prior to starting his own solo practice in 1999, he served for more than a year as an Assistant Federal Public Defender in Pensacola, Florida. Mr. Puckett also has been an adjunct professor of law at Creighton University School of Law and has taught numerous trial advocacy courses, as well as college and graduate courses in political science, government, sociology, criminal justice and the legal process. He earned his B.A. degree, with high honors, and his J.D. degree from Indiana University; his LL.M. degree from the University of San Diego School of Law; and his M.S. degree from the U.S. Naval War College. Mr. Puckett is admitted to practice in the State of Indiana, the Commonwealth of Virginia, the Eastern District of Virginia and the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.
