STEPHEN A. LEON is an attorney at the law firm of Cooper, Spong & Davis, P.C., where his practice areas include creditors' rights, collections, and commercial litigation. Mr. Leon earned his B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of Virginia and his J.D. degree from Cumberland School of Law of Samford University. He is a member of the Norfolk-Portsmouth and Portsmouth (member, Executive Committee) bar associations. Mr. Leon is also a member of the Virginia State Bar. He has previously lectured in his areas of practice for National Business Institute and the Virginia State Bar. PATRICK R. PETTITT is a partner in the Business and Real Estate Group of the law firm of Patten Wornom Hatten & Diamonstein, L.C., in Newport News. Mr. Pettitt focuses his practice on complex business transactions, from business formation to mergers and acquisitions; business spin offs and reincorporations; contract preparation and negotiation; landlord-tenant law; and criminal and traffic matters, as well as general civil litigation in Virginia's state courts and sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, ranging from single asset acquisitions and sales to elaborate, multi-jurisdictional transactions using a broad variety of credit facilities. He has previously spoken at a “ Real Estate Title Law: Solutions to the Most Common Problems ” seminar for National Business Institute. Mr. Pettitt is a member of the Virginia State Bar (member, Business Law Section, Real Estate Law Section). He received his B.S.M.E. degree from Old Dominion University and his J.D. degree from Marshall-Wythe School of Law, College of William & Mary. MELISSA M. WATSON-GOODE is an attorney at the law firm of Glasser and Glasser, P.L.C. Ms. Watson-Goode's areas of emphasis include representation of creditors in bankruptcy, foreclosure, collections and civil litigation. She earned her B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Old Dominion University and her J.D. degree from Regent University School of Law. Ms. Watson-Goode is a member of the Virginia State Bar.
