PHILIP L. BRADFIELD is the director if the litigation department at Marcari, Russotto, Spencer & Balaban, P.C. His areas of practice include personal injury, wrongful death, premises liability, workers' compensation, and medical malpractice claims and lawsuits in Virginia state and federal courts, and before the Virginia Workers' Compensation Commission. Mr. Bradfield has previously been a pro bono attorney volunteer for the Central Virginia Legal Aid, a law firm campaign manager for the Greater Richmond Way Annual Pledge Drive and an instructor for continuing legal education seminars. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, Eastern and Western districts of Virginia, Western District of Pennsylvania and Northern District of Ohio; the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of Virginia; and before the U.S. 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Bradfield also is a member of the Virginia State Bar and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. He earned his B.A. degree from the University of Virginia and his J.D. degree from William and Mary, Marshall-Wythe School of Law. THOMAS C. BUNTING has spent his entire career representing insurance carriers and their insureds. His clients have included insurance carriers, major trucking companies, employers, manufacturers, corporations and individuals. Before joining McKenry Dancigers Dawson & Lake, Mr. Bunting was Associate Claims Counsel at LandAmerica Financial Group, Inc., handling land title insurance claims on property in Tennessee, Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi and Louisiana. Prior to that, he was in private practice, focusing on personal injury litigation, insurance defense, coverage disputes, product liability litigation and workers' compensation. Mr. Bunting has lectured on a variety of topics including negotiating and settling auto accident claims, uninsured and underinsured motorist claims, and ethics. He earned his B.A. degree from the College of William & Mary and his J.D. degree from T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond. Mr. Bunting is admitted to practice before all Virginia state and appellate courts; the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia; the U.S. Bankruptcy Court; and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit. He also is a member of the Norfolk-Portsmouth Bar Association. JOSHUA D. SILVERMAN is an attorney in the law firm of Williamson & Lavecchia, L.C. in Richmond, Virginia. He has been litigating nursing home cases since 1998. Mr. Silverman is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio. He is active in all areas of the firm's practice, including nursing home abuse and neglect, medical malpractice, and personal injury law. Mr. Silverman is a member of the American Association for Justice and the Nursing Home Litigation Group. He serves on the Board of Governors for the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, and is past chairman of the Young Trial Lawyer's Division and Publication Committee. Mr. Silverman has previously served as an editor of The Journal, which is published by the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, and has published several articles in The Journal. He also regularly volunteers his time at the Virginia Legal Aid Society.
