SEAN A. DUNSTON is an attorney in Alexandria, Virginia. He received his B.A. degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and his J.D. degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. Mr. Dunston has worked in the estate planning and probate fields for his entire career. WARREN W. GROSSMAN is the manager with the law firm Grossman & Associates, PLC, where his areas of practice include estate planning/wills and trusts. Mr. Grossman has lectured for the Virginia State Bar numerous times, for the public, on estate planning and business subjects. He earned his B.B.A. degree in finance from the University of Miami and his J.D. degree from American University Washington College of Law. Mr. Grossman is a member of the Northern Virginia Estate Planning Council and the McLean Estate Planning Council. EMORY E. HACKMAN JR. specializes in wealth preservation. He has been an entrepreneur and practicing attorney for more than 30 years. Mr. Hackman's practice has evolved from a broad scope of services, including foreign financial transactions and a successful public securities offering, to estate planning, administration and wealth preservation. He continues to be in demand to speak before legal, accounting, networking, writing and business groups such as the Arlington, Fairfax, McLean and American bar associations, the Greater Washington Society of CPAs, the Washington Independent Writers and the McLean Estate Planning Council. Mr. Hackman enjoys mentoring other attorneys who are faced with unique, difficult and complex cases. RICHARD MAYBERRY is the principal of the Mayberry Law Firm in McLean, Virginia. His areas of expertise include estate planning, estate administration and elder law. In his law practice, Mr. Mayberry assists families with wills, living trusts, powers of attorney, probate, special needs trusts, nursing home related matters, such as financing long-term care, qualification/contesting government benefits, end of life issues, attendant income and gift and estate tax issues. He also has advised foundations and other tax-exempt organizations. McCLURE is a practicing attorney with more than 30 years experience. He maintains a business, estate and charitable planning law practice based in Virginia. He holds a undergraduate degree in international studies, a Masters Degree, in Political Science, from Northwestern University and a Juris Doctorate degree, with honors, from the Ohio State University Law School. Mr. McClure has conducted civil and criminal trials in local courts, represented creditors in bankruptcy proceedings, and litigated antitrust and trade regulation cases involving the largest corporations in America in federal regulatory proceedings. He served 10 years in the Virginia legislature (House of Delegates), has been a radio talk show host, received a bronze star for service in Vietnam, and has written and published several books and numerous articles. Mr. McClure is a sought after speaker nationally. Through the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys and the Wealth Institute of Washington, Mr. McClure works with professionals in every state to assist their clients in solving problems and enhancing planning. ERIC A. VENDT is a partner with the law firm Whiteford Taylor & Preston LLP, where he represents small and middle market companies with respect to a broad range of commercial issues including entity formation and planning, corporate governance issues, joint ventures and investments, employee compensation plans and equity arrangements, ownership structures and exist strategies. Related to his corporate work, Mr. Vendt also provides tax counsel to clients concerning entity and joint venture structures, operational and transactional planning, company restructurings, equity issuances and exit strategies. He regularly advises clients on the taxation of pass-though entities such as S corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies. He also represents companies with respect to structuring financing, negotiating and consummating mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, business combinations, distribution and license agreements, partnership and LLC agreements, and shareholder agreements. Mr. Vendt frequently lectures on topics related to business succession planning, mergers and acquisitions, corporate law and partnership and corporate taxation.
