MARC E. ALBERT is a partner in the Washington, D.C., law firm of Stinson Morrison Hecker LLP, where he practices in the areas of bankruptcy, insolvency, business reorganization and tax disputes, and litigation. Mr. Albert works primarily in the bankruptcy area. He has been a trustee in bankruptcy for the District of Columbia for several years. Also, Mr. Albert serves as counsel in a variety of bankruptcy matters for lenders, creditors and debtors in the many bankruptcies in this area. He routinely speaks at continuing legal education programs. For the last several years, Mr. Albert has led the CLE program for National Business Institute's seminar on bankruptcies and foreclosures. He also has participated as an appellate judge in the American Bar Association's nationwide moot court competition. Mr. Albert earned his B.A. degree and J.D. degree, with honors, from George Washington University, and his M.L.T. degree from Georgetown University. He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Virginia State Bar, the District of Columbia Bar and the Washington, D.C. Barristers. Mr. Albert is a Master in the Walter Chandler Inn of Court. ALAN D. EISLER is a principal with Meyers Eisler LLC. Mr. Eisler concentrates in the areas of bankruptcy, creditors' rights and commercial litigation, representing commercial lenders, leasing companies, private investors, small to large businesses and individuals. He regularly litigates in the federal and state courts of Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. In addition to representing businesses reorganizing in Chapter 11, Mr. Eisler helps clients buy and sell assets in bankruptcy cases. He has extensive experience representing debtors, creditors and bankruptcy trustees in adversary proceedings involving preferential transfers, fraudulent conveyances, and objections to the dischargeability of debts. Mr. Eisler is board certified in consumer bankruptcy law by the American Board of Certification. He is a frequent speaker on bankruptcy topics before bar association groups. Many of Mr. Eisler's speeches focus on the treatment of federal and state tax liens and the ability to discharge taxes in bankruptcy. He has spoken at the American Bar Association's annual meeting on four occasions and has also made numerous appearances on local television and radio programs. Mr. Eisler is a member of the American, American Bankruptcy Institute and Montgomery County bar associations. He has been appointed to a two year term for the Maryland State Bar Association Board of Govenors and in May 2011 he will assume the position of president of the Bankruptcy Bar Association for the District of Maryland. Mr Eisler earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from Cornell University and his J.D. degree from Georgetown University, Law Center. CHRISTINA HAMILTON is the owner of Gonzaga Hamilton, LLC. Her office offers a wide range of practice areas, including consumer and business bankruptcy, contracts, civil litigation, divorce, custody, criminal defense, DUI, MVA, and serious traffic matters. Ms. Hamilton is a graduate of the University of Maryland College Park, where she received the award of Distinguished Minority Scholar. She earned her J.D. degree from the University of Maryland Law School. After law school, Ms. Hamilton worked as a family law attorney in a very busy domestic law firm in Cumberland, MD. She also has been the Allegany County prosecutor for crimes against children, sex crimes and juvenile crimes. Ms. Hamilton was the senior associate at one of the largest consumer bankruptcy firms in Maryland. While the majority of Ms. Hamilton's practice was devoted to Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases, she also has represented several bankruptcy trustees in adversary proceedings. Ms. Hamilton was recently nominated as a Maryland Super Lawyer Rising Star for 2011 in the area of bankruptcy and debtor/creditor rights.
