MICHAEL J. CHAMPLIN is a partner in the Richmond law firm of Bowen, Champlin, Foreman & Rockecharlie, where his main areas of practice are collections, personal injury and bankruptcy. Mr. Champlin teaches at the University of Richmond School of Continuing Studies. He has shared his legal knowledge with students as an adjunct professor at the University of Richmond for 20 years. Mr. Champlin is a member of the Richmond, Henrico County and Chesterfield bar associations and the Virginia State Bar. He earned his B.A. degree from Wake Forest University and his J.D. degree from Cumberland School of Law of Samford University. MATTHEW P. LINKIE is a founding member of Kramer, Linkie & Taylor, LLC, in the firm's Maryland office. Mr. Linkie has more than ten years of experience in the consumer collections field. Prior to forming KLT, Mr. Linkie was the managing attorney of litigation at Mann Bracken, LLC, and a litigation associate with Wolpoff & Abramson, LLP. Mr. Linkie practices regularly in the Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia courts and is responsible for supervising the firm's contested litigation throughout those states. Mr. Linkie has substantial experience handling arbitration and litigation matters and FDCPA defense claims. He has briefed and defended two appeals to the Supreme Court of Virginia and has made oral arguments before the court. He is admitted to practice in Maryland (1999), the District of Columbia (2001), Virginia (2002), the U.S. District Court for the 4th Circuit (2002), and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia (2007). Mr. Linkie received his undergraduate degree from Villanova University and his J.D. degree from Catholic University Columbus School of Law. CYNTHIA KAPLAN REVESMAN is the managing member of The Law Offices of Cynthia Kaplan Revesman, PLC, and is of counsel to Rubenstein & Cogan both law firms with heavy collections and commercial practices. She has been practicing law for 20 years and is licensed to practice law in the state and federal courts of Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia as well as the U.S. Supreme Court. She received her undergraduate degree from Emory University and her J.D. degree from Catholic University Law School. She is currently the treasurer of the VWAA, a member of the General District Court Committee of the Fairfax Bar Association and the Virginia Creditors Bar Association.
