HEATHER J. ALLEN is a paralegal with Ray Quinney & Nebeker P.C., where she practices in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death and product liability defense. Her job responsibilities include case and document management, expert retention, trial attendance, medical record review, draft discovery documents, subpoena records, and fact witness interviews. Ms. Allen earned her B.S. degree from Utah Valley University, where she taught as an adjunct professor for computerized research. Ms. Allen is a member of the Utah State Bar Paralegal Division. PATTY H. ALLRED has more than 30 years of experience as a paralegal and works as a senior litigation paralegal at Jones Waldo Holbrook & McDonough, PC in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her primary focus is personal injury litigation (plaintiff’s work), medical malpractice, wrongful death, insurance defense, and civil litigation practicing in both federal and Utah state courts. Ms. Allred has been an adjunct professor at Salt Lake Community College and Broadview University. She is currently an adjunct at Eagle Gate College – Salt Lake Campus. Ms. Allred has taught classes in paralegal studies programs such as paralegal procedures, introduction to paralegalism, basic legal writing, evidence, criminal law, ethics, and the CP/CLA Prep Class. She also teaches a CP/CLA Workshop to the general public. Ms. Allred earned her A.A. degree from Utah Technical College (nka Utah Valley University), her B.S. degree from the University of Utah and her M.S. degree from the University of Phoenix in Criminal Justice and Homeland Security. She became a Certified Paralegal in May of 1996 and has gone on to earn the Advanced Certified Paralegal credentials from NALA in discovery and trials, and is currently working towards her specialty in personal injury. Ms. Allred was awarded the Utah Distinguished Paralegal of the Year award in May 2011. She has been an active member of NALA since 1994 and was one of 14 participants in the NALA’s 2007-2008 inaugural LEAP (Leadership Enhancement and Presentation) program. Ms. Allred served one term on the NALA Board of Directors as the Region VII Direction; she has also served as the second vice-president, NALA liaison, and secretary in the local Utah Paralegal Association (UPA) over the past eight years.  SALINA C. BAUGH is a paralegal with Kirton & McConkie, where she practices in the area of business litigation. Her responsibilities include all aspects of discovery, trial preparation and assisting at trial. Ms. Baugh attended the University of Montana College of Technology. She earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in paralegal studies.
