JAMES P. ALDER is a partner in the Salt Lake City law firm of Alder & Robb, P.C. Mr. Alder has been an attorney for more than 14 years and focuses his practice on wills and trusts, business law, probate and trust administration, elder law, and related areas. He is a member of the Salt Lake Estate Planning Council, WealthCounsel and the Utah State Bar (Estate Planning Section and Elder Law Section). Mr. Alder also is a member of the Board of Directors for the Utah Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association and serves on the advisory committee for Best Buddies, a special needs organization. He has been named as a Utah Legal Elite in Estate Planning by Utah Business Magazine. Mr. Alder earned his B.S. and L.L.M degrees from Utah State University and his J.D. degree from Brigham Young University. DENNIS MURNICK is the Technical Services Director of Ringler Medicare Solutions, Inc. He earned his B.A. degree from the University of Illinois and has worked in the insurance industry for the past 42 years. For the last twelve years, Mr. Murnick has been specializing in MSA / Medicare issues. He has authored and taught "The Art of Negotiations," a continuing education course for the Columbus Ohio Bar Association, as well as "Structured Settlements: A Useful Tool for the Claim Professional" and his newly authored "The New World of Medicare." Mr. Murnick's "The New World of Medicare" has been certified by the State Bar of Wisconsin for continuing legal education hours and presented at Wisconsin legal seminars. He is a regularly featured speaker to insurance companies, third party administrators and law firms on MSA / Medicare issues. CARRIE T. TAYLOR is a shareholder of Richards, Brandt, Miller & Nelson, P.C., where her areas of practice include workers' compensation, medicare compliance and personal injury. She has presented at numerous workers' compensation seminars and workshops. Before her tenure with the Workers' Compensation Fund, Ms. Taylor, who is a registered nurse, practiced in the area of medical malpractice defense. She has lectured at various hospitals and colleges of nursing on the topics of medical and nursing malpractice, and also has presented at numerous workers' compensation seminars and workshops. Ms. Taylor is admitted to practice in the state of Utah and has served on the Legal/Health Care Committee of the Utah State Bar and presently serves on its Bar Examiners Committee. She has served as Judge Pro Tempore for the 3rd Circuit Court, Small Claims Division, and on the Community Advisory Board for the Junior League of Salt Lake City. Ms. Taylor earned her B.S. degree from the University of Utah and her J.D. degree from Bringham Young University, J. Reuben Clark Law School.
