TRAVIS L. BOWEN is the senior partner in the Law Offices of Travis Bowen, PC, where he focuses his practice in the areas of taxation, estate planning, and business planning law and transactions. His firm specializes in the areas of federal tax, advising closely held businesses, tax and estate planning and transactional law. Mr. Bowen earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from Brigham Young University and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from J. Rueben Clark Law School in Provo, Utah. He is a frequent speaker in the areas of business and estate planning and he co-wrote the article "Limited Partnerships: Use in Tax, Estate and Business Planning," published in The Monthly Digest of Tax Articles, 32 Idaho Law Review 305, 1996. Mr. Bowen is actively involved in various sections of the American Bar Association including the Tax, Real Property, Probate and Business sections. He also serves on numerous committees including the Closely Held Businesses Committee, the Family Limited Partnerships and Limited Liability Companies Committee and the Estate Planning and Estate Administration for Businesses Committee. Mr. Bowen is currently serving on the Utah State Bars Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee which is reviewing and recommending changes to the Utah Limited Liability Company Act. JASON C. HUNTER works in the estate planning, business and corporate law, tax law, real estate, securities law, and commercial litigation practice groups at Pia Anderson Dorius Reynard & Moss PLLC. He regularly helps clients with the design and implementation of wills, revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts (insurance trusts (ILITs), intentionally defective grantor trusts (IDGTs), charitable remainder and lead trusts (CRTs and CLTs)), powers of attorney, health care directives, and other estate planning documents. Mr. Hunter assists families with their charitable planning needs through private foundations or other structures. Additionally, he helps families with trust and estate administration and probate. He is a regular presenter on estate planning topics to consumers, financial professionals, and other lawyers. Mr. Hunter has extensive experience assisting estate planning clients with proper planning for estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax and in helping clients plan tax-efficient charitable gifts. He is a member of the Utah State Bar (member of the Tax, Estate Planning, and Elder Law sections), and the State Bar of California. Mr. Hunter earned his A.A. degree from Dixie State College and his B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from Southern Utah University. RANDY M. LISH is a sole practitioner in Provo, Utah, where he practices in the areas of trusts and estates, asset protection and probate. He is a former adjunct professor at Utah Valley State College and is a previous lecturer for National Business Institute. Mr. Lish earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from Brigham Young University. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Utah State Bar and the Central Utah Bar Association. KENDRA SHIREY concentrates her practice in the commercial litigation, domestic and family law, construction law, intellectual property and real estate practice groups at Pia Anderson Dorius Reynard & Moss PLLC. She has represented clients in administrative proceedings and in various state and federal courts across the U.S. in complex commercial litigation, protecting intellectual property (primarily copyright) rights, natural resources litigation, defending broker-dealers and investment advisors for violations of state and federal securities laws, environmental permitting, landlord/tenant disputes, and eminent domain proceedings. Ms. Shirey's domestic and family law practice focuses on helping her clients to navigate the legal system in order to achieve the best possible result for their family during a time of extreme emotional turmoil and considerable change. She is a member of the Utah State Bar, and admitted to practice before the Utah Supreme Court, U.S. District courts of Utah and the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Shirey earned her B.S. degree, magna cum laude, from Weber State University and her J.D. degree from University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law.
