LORIE D. FOWLKE is an attorney with Scribner & McCandless, P.C., where she specializes in general litigation, small business, construction and domestic issues. She currently is a mediator, court certified roster, guardian ad litem for the Forth District Court and commissioner, Uniform Law Commission. Ms. Fowlke previously was a Utah state legislator and special master, court appointed on domestic cases. She is a member of the Utah State Bar and Women in Leadership. Ms. Fowlke earned her B.S. degree from Brigham Young University and her J.D. degree, cum laude, from J. Reuben Clark Law School. JAMES B. HANKS is a partner in the Salt Lake City firm of Hanks & Mortensen, PC, where his areas of practice include family law, adoption and general practice. He has spoken on divorce-related topics for many CLE programs. Mr. Hanks served as a judge pro tem in West Valley City. He earned his B.S. degree from the University of Utah and his J.D. degree from Gonzaga University Law School. Mr. Hanks is a member of the Davis County Bar Association and the Utah State Bar (member, Family Law Section; past member, Unlawful Practice of Law Committee). BRIAN D. JOHNSON is the managing attorney of Brian D. Johnson, P.C., in Ogden, Utah. He represents business and individual debtors in bankruptcy and devotes about 30% of his practice to family law, including divorce and adoption. Mr. Johnson earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from California State University - Long Beach and his J.D. degree from the University of Maine School of Law. After graduation from law school, he served in the bankruptcy department of a major Utah bank, and upon admittance to the bar, joined the firm of Craig S. Trenton, P.C. Mr. Johnson formed the firm of Johnson & Trease, P.C., in 2000, and his current firm in 2003. He has been practicing debtor representation for 17 years and family law for eight years. Mr. Johnson is a member of the Utah State Bar Bankruptcy Section, the Utah Bankruptcy Lawyers Forum and the Utah State Bar Family Law Section. He has been a presenter at the American Bankruptcy Institute's Rocky Mountain Bankruptcy Conference. GRANT W. P. MORRISON is the senior member of Morrison & Morrison, L.C., located in Salt Lake City, where he has focused his practice on criminal defense and domestic relations law for more than 23 years. He is Rule 8 qualified for death penalty cases and has been involved in a number of high profile criminal defense cases including Addam Swapp, Chris Fink, Tom Green (representing all six of the Green wives), the Motel Six murder case and the Straight Edge murder case. Mr. Morrison is a skilled trial attorney and has established a solid reputation for cross-examination, particularly in contested child custody cases against recommendations of child custody examiners. He earned his B.S. degree, with honors, and his M.Ed. degree from the University of Utah, and his J.D. degree from Western States University College of Law. Mr. Morrison is a member of the Utah State Bar.
