DOUGLAS L. BARRETT is the principal of the Law Offices of Douglas L. Barrett LLC in Orem. He has concentrated his practice in the areas of bankruptcy law, debtor and creditor rights since 2001. Mr. Barrett earned his B.A. degree at Brigham Young University at Provo and his J.D. degree at Whittier College School of Law. He is the former law clerk to U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge Lee M. Jackwig, Southern District of Iowa, 2000-2001. He is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorney's (NACBA). MARJI HANSON is the principal of the Salt Lake City Law Offices of Marji Hanson. Her law practice focuses exclusively on consumer bankruptcy law. Prior to beginning her private practice Ms. Hanson worked in the bankruptcy court as a lawyer for a bankruptcy judge for three years, as senior staff counsel for a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Trustee for over four years and in the bankruptcy and litigation sections in one of Salt Lake's largest and best law firms. Ms. Hanson earned her B.A. degree in business administration/marketing at the University of Utah and her J.D. degree at the University of Utah College of Law. She is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, the Utah Bankruptcy Lawyers Forum (former trustee and vice president), the Utah State Bar Character and Fitness Committee, the Utah State Bar Bar Examination Committee (creditor/debtor section), the Utah State Bar Bankruptcy Section and the Women Lawyers of Utah (former board member and president). PHILIP G. JONES is the principal of the Philip G. Jones PC Law Firm in Orem and has served as a member of the Utah Panel of Chapter 7 Trustees since January 2004. Mr. Jones has focused his practice on bankruptcy law since 1980. He earned his B.A. degree from Idaho State University and his J.D. degree from Brigham Young University School of Law. He received his initial mediation training from Utah Dispute Resolution in May of 1998. He is currently an instructor in the Paralegal Studies Program at Utah Valley University at Orem, and a former instructor of Law at Brigham Young University. LEE RUDD is the principal of the Lee Rudd Law Office in Salt Lake City. He began his private practice in 1970 focusing mainly on bankruptcy law. Mr. Rudd is a member and past chair solo, of the small firm and rural practitioner section of the Utah state bar. He earned his B.S. degree from the University of Utah and his J.D. degree at the University of Utah School of Law.
