ADELAIDE MAUDSLEY is a partner with Chapman and Cutler LLP. Her areas of practice are representation of regional and national financial institutions and creditors in workout, restructuring, collection, and bankruptcy related matters. Ms. Maudsley is an adjunct professor for business bankruptcy courses at the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah. She was a law clerk for the Honorable Nancy C. Dreher, bankruptcy judge for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Minnesota and a member of the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel for the 8th Circuit. Ms. Maudsley is a member of the Utah Bankruptcy Lawyers Forum (Board of Trustees), Turnaround Management Association (Rocky Mountain chapter, Programming Committee), the Women Lawyers of Utah, the International Women's Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation, and the American Bankruptcy Institute. She was named one of "Utah's Legal Elite" in the area of business bankruptcy in Utah Business magazine, and also was named a "Rocky Mountain Super Lawyer." Ms. Maudsley earned her B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from Franklin & Marshall College, and her J.D. degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law where she was managing editor for the Utah Law Review, and a member of Order of the Coif. DAVID W. MOORE has been in the title and escrow industry for more than 38 years. He has owned and operated title and escrow companies, and has done extensive title and escrow work throughout the state of Utah and in most of the western states. Mr. Moore owns and operates a real estate, title and escrow consulting firm, which includes the Title and Escrow School. His consulting work focuses on specialized real estate research, education and problem-solving efforts. Mr. Moore has been qualified as an expert witness in both state and federal courts. He has been teaching real estate, title and escrow since 1982. Mr. Moore is a qualified instructor for both prelicensing education for insurance and continuing education for insurance and real estate. He is currently a member of the American Land Title Association Education Committee; the American Land Title Association Technology Committee; state Co-Trustee of the ALTA Political Action Committee; and was a founding member of the ALTA Small Agents Forum. Mr. Moore has spoken at many national title association meetings and also has served on various ad hoc committees for the many government agencies. LANGDON T. OWEN JR. is a shareholder in the Salt Lake City law firm of Parsons, Kinghorn & Harris, P.C. Mr. Owen practices in the areas of corporate law, limited liability company, partnership, business structure and finance, commercial transactions, real estate, estate planning, taxation law, and health care law. He is a frequent speaker to professional groups on topics regarding taxation, estate planning and business, and health law. Mr. Owen earned his A.B. degree, with high distinction, from the University of California at Berkeley and his J.D. degree from the University of Utah. He is a member of the Utah State Bar (member, Fee Arbitration Committee; sections on Estate Planning, Taxation and Corporations), the American Bar Association and the American Health Lawyers Association. He has been practicing law since 1977. ELIZABETH A. SCHULTE is a member of Parsons Behle & Latimer's Environmental, Energy and Natural Resources Department, and concentrates her practice on water law and environmental and natural resources litigation. She earned her J.D. degree from the University of Utah, where she was a Dewsnup Fellow, earned the Stegner Certificate in Environmental Law and was editor-in-chief of the Journal of Land Resources and Environmental Law. In 1997, Ms. Schulte earned her master's degree in natural resources sociology from Utah State University and earned an Environmental and Natural Resources Policy Certificate. She earned her bachelor's degree from Hobart & William Smith College. Ms. Schulte's professional experience includes four years of management/director work at The Nature Conservancy of Utah. She also worked as an environmental consultant at BIO/WEST, Inc. Ms. Schulte was admitted to the Utah State Bar in 2005. She is the author of "Is Nuclear Waste Coming to Utah," Journal of Land Resources and Environmental Law, 2004, and "From Downlisting to Delisting: Anticipating Legal Action if Gray Wolves are Delisted From the Endangered Species Act," Journal of Land Resources and Environmental Law, 2004. Ms. Schulte is currently serving as the chair for the Environmental Committee of the Utah State Bar's Energy (Natural Resources and Environmental Law Section). MICHAEL M. SMITH is chief operating officer and general counsel of Equity Title Insurance Agency, Inc. Mr. Smith holds state of Utah agent licenses in escrow and title. He has taught college level courses on business law and ethics, and he speaks regularly to professionals in the real estate industry on title insurance. Mr. Smith is a member of the Utah State Bar and the American Bar Association. He earned his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from Utah State University and his J.D. degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
