December 8 - Allentown DIONYSIOS C. PAPPAS is an associate in the Bethlehem and Plymouth Meeting offices of the law firm Vasiliadis & Associates. He practices in the areas of elder law, trust and estate planning and administration, and veterans' benefits. Most recently, he contributed as a writer and lecturer for the April 2007 Pennsylvania Bar Institute program "Representing an Individual Entering a Nursing Home" in Philadelphia and Mechanicsburg, and for the July 2007 Pennsylvania Bar Institute's 10th Annual Elder Law Institute in Hershey. Mr. Pappas is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Mr. Pappas is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association (Elder Law Section; Real Property, Probate and Trust Section), the Northampton County Bar Association (Elder Law Committee, Estate and Trust Law Committee, Tax Law Committee, Young Lawyers Division), the Lehigh County Bar Association (Tax Law Practice Committee, Community Service Committee, Young Lawyers Committee), the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council. Mr. Pappas earned his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Temple University and his J.D. degree from Temple University Beasley School of Law. While attending law school, he served an internship in 2003 as a law clerk to the Honorable George Koudelis of the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas, 32nd Judicial District for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. December 9 - Harrisburg SCOTT ALAN MITCHELL is an attorney with the law firm of Gibbel Kraybill & Hess LLP, where he practices in the areas of elder law, estate planning, estate administration, general business, real estate and nonprofit work. He is a member of the Lancaster County and Pennsylvania bar associations, the Lancaster County Estate Planning Council and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Mr. Mitchell earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from Millersville University and J.D. degree from Regent University. December 10 - Scranton DAVID R. LIPKA is a sole practitioner in Plymouth and is a certified elder law attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation. His practice focuses on elder law, estate and Medicaid planning, estate probate and administration, guardianships and special needs trusts. Mr. Lipka frequently lectures on these topics at seminars approved for continuing education credits for accountants, attorneys and financial planners. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. He also is a member of the Elder Law Section of the Wilkes-Barre Law and Library Association, where he serves as director for continuing legal education programs. Mr. Lipka earned his B.A. degree from King's College and J.D. degree from Temple University School of Law.
