RICHARD E. ANDERSON is an attorney at Anderson, Burns & Vela L.L.P., where he concentrates his practice in commercial law, with a particular emphasis in the areas of bankruptcy, creditors' rights and residential foreclosures. Mr. Anderson also advises business clients on a wide range of corporate matters. He represents lenders in both state and federal courts; in residential and commercial real estate transactions, non-judicial foreclosures and related litigation; title claims; judicial foreclosures; evictions; and contract disputes, as well as lender representation in consumer and commercial bankruptcy cases. Mr. Anderson earned his B.A. degree from New Mexico State University and his J.D. degree from the University of Arizona, School of Law. He is a member of the Hispanic National Bar Association, the Denton County Bar Association and the Knights of Columbus. JANINE N. BARBER is the senior vice president of Republic Title of Texas, Inc., in Dallas, where she specializes in commercial real estate closings. She is a closer responsible for commercial real estate sales, loans and developments across the country. Ms. Barber has lectured on title insurance for paralegals and attorneys. She earned her A.A.S. degree in legal technology from Harper College. Ms. Barber is a member of the Texas Land Title Association and is a former member of the Dallas Paralegal Association. JEFFREY R. HACKER is a sole practitioner in Addison, Texas, where he concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning and probate; trusts; and commercial and residential real estate. He is a frequent speaker on estate planning, probate, real estate and banking matters to attorneys and other business professionals. Mr. Hacker is an approved attorney for three major Dallas area and one Houston area title companies. He is licensed by the State Bar of Texas; the U.S. District courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western districts of Texas; the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals; and the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Hacker earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from Tulane University.
