JEFFREY J. BARNETT is an attorney-shareholder at Barnett & Associates, P.C. and has been practicing law for more than 16 years. Ms. Brown has represented creditors, Chapter 7 Trustees, and Chapter 11 liquidating trustees and debtors. She also has handled numerous construction defect cases on residential and commercial projects. She earned her B.A. degree from Michigan State University and her J.D. degree from Tulane University Law School. MICHAEL DEITCH is an attorney in Austin, Texas. He earned his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Texas and his J.D. degree from the University of Texas School of Law. During the local business downturn of the 1980s, Mr. Deitch expanded his practice into bankruptcy, representing business debtors and creditors. He obtained board certifications from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in civil trial law and business bankruptcy, and retained those designations until he further expanded his practice into business and real estate transactions. Mr. Deitch has tried more than 30 jury cases and continues to litigate in state, federal and bankruptcy courts when no other solution will solve his clients' problems. He has spoken at seminars on collections, bankruptcy and commercial landlord/tenant law. Mr. Deitch is a member of the Austin Bar Association and a fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, the U.S. District courts for the Western and Northern Districts of Texas, and the U.S. Bankruptcy courts for the Western and Northern districts of Texas JAMES W. GOLDSMITH JR. is an associate attorney with Naman, Howell, Smith & Lee, PLLC in Austin, Texas. Mr. Goldsmith maintains a general civil litigation practice, with an emphasis on collections, construction disputes, contract claims, products liability, trucking, premises liability, and personal injury. His representative clients include banks, credit unions, general contractors, tradesmen and subcontractors, real estate developers and commercial landlords. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Travis and Williamson County bar associations, and is admitted to practice in Texas state courts and all United States District Courts in Texas. Mr. Goldsmith received his B.A. degree from Texas A&M University and his J.D. degree from Baylor Law School.
