G. WARD BEAUDRY is the president and corporate partner in the Dallas law firm of Winn, Beaudry & Winn. Mr. Beaudry is an accredited estate planner by the National Association of Estate Planning Councils and a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. He is the former chair of the Dallas Bar Association Probate and Trusts Section, and a member of the Dallas Estate Planning Council and the North Texas Estate Planning Council (founding member, Board of Governors). Mr. Beaudry also is a certified guardian ad litem. Since 1969, he has concentrated his practice in the areas of estate planning, probate and trust law, trust and estate litigation, corporate litigation, and elder law and mediation. He is a trained arbitrator and mediator by the American Arbitration Association. Mr. Beaudry is a frequent speaker on estate planning, probate administration, elder law and legal ethics topics, and has written numerous articles on limited liability corporations, ethical implications of estate planning and guardianship, trust and estate administration. He earned his B.A. degree, with honors, from Austin College and his J.D. degree from the University of Texas School of Law. Mr. Beaudry is a life fellow of the American, Texas and Dallas Bar Foundations, and a member of the State Bar of Texas and the College of the State Bar of Texas. MICHAEL B. COHEN is an elder law attorney in Dallas, where his law firm focuses on the legal needs of the disabled and elderly, including without limitation, estate and Medicaid planning. Mr. Cohen is a frequent speaker on his areas of practice. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and was the president of the Texas chapter of that organization. Mr. Cohen also is chair-elect of the Dallas Bar Association's Probate, Trust & Estates Section. He is a member of the Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee and the State Bar of Texas. Mr. Cohen also is accredited by the Department of Veteran's Affairs. He graduated, magna cum laude, from the University of Texas at Austin and from the Southern Methodist University School of Law, where he was a member of the honorary fraternity of Phi Beta Kappa. LEE CRAIG is a sole practitioner in Richardson, Texas, where she concentrates in trusts and estates, elder law, Medicaid planning, contracts, wills, probate, business law, estate planning and guardianship. Ms. Craig has lectured to professionals and civic organizations on elder law, Medicaid eligibility, asset protection and estate planning for elders. She was on the District I State Bar Grievance Committee for five years. Ms. Craig earned her B.F.A. degree from North Texas State University and her J.D. degree from Southern Methodist University. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas (Real Property, Wills, Trusts and Probate Section) and the College of the State Bar of Texas. BRIAN THOMAS is an attorney in the law firm of Ford & Mathiason, LLP, where he practices in the areas of estate administration, guardianship, estate and tax planning, and wills and trusts. Mr. Thomas, who works primarily in the firm's Dallas office, routinely assists clients with uncontested probate issues and handles the majority of the firm's contested and litigated estate administrations and guardianships in the Dallas area. Prior to joining Ford & Mathiason, LLP, Mr. Thomas worked with the Small Business Administration, following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, where he helped those hit hardest by the storms receive billions of dollars in disaster assistance. He earned his B.B.A. degree from the Baylor University and his J.D. degree from the Baylor Law School. Mr. Thomas is a member of the Dallas Bar Association and serves the association as an active member of its Continuing Legal Education and Unauthorized Practice of Law committees.
