MICHAEL GIGANDET is a sole practitioner in Pleasant View, where he practices in the areas of workers' compensation, insurance defense law, bankruptcy law and civil litigation. Mr. Gigandet frequently lectures on workers' compensation, insurance defense and bankruptcy. He earned his B.S. degree, magna cum laude, from Middle Tennessee State University and his J.D. degree from Vanderbilt University. LINDA W. KNIGHT is a member of Gullett, Sanford, Robinson & Martin, PLLC, where her practice areas include bankruptcy law, commercial law and litigation, and general business law. Ms. Knight has experience in business and consumer bankruptcies, representing secured and unsecured creditors, committees, business debtors, trustees, defendants in avoidance actions and other bankruptcy litigation, and purchasers of assets. She is experienced in non-bankruptcy workouts. Ms. Knight also defends title insurance claims. She has produced and spoken at numerous continuing legal education programs. Ms. Knight was a law clerk to Tennessee Supreme Court Justice Frank F. Drowota. She is a member of the American, Tennessee (member, Bankruptcy Committee) and Nashville (past secretary; member, Bankruptcy Court, Appellate Practice and Federal Court Committees; member and past chair, Continuing Legal Education Committee and recipient of CLE Excellence Award) bar associations. She is also a fellow of the Tennessee and Nashville Bar Foundations and a special member of the Alabama State Bar. Ms. Knight is a member and past chair of the Bench-Bar Relations Committee of the Tennessee Judicial Conference, a board member of the Tennessee Supreme Court Historical Society and a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and Turnaround Management Association. She is also a member of the Nashville Lawyers Association for Women and past president and current treasurer of the Tennessee Lawyers Association for Women. Ms. Knight is a past Hearing Panel member for the Board of Professional Responsibility. From 2006 through 2010, she was a founding member of the Tennessee Ethics Commission, appointed by the Speaker of the House. From 1998 to 2004, she served on the Tennessee Economic Council on Women, appointed by the Governor, and was secretary during her entire tenure. Ms. Knight earned her B.A. degree, cum laude, from Vanderbilt University and her J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from Cumberland School of Law. JAMES D. NAVE is an attorney in Nashville, where his main area of practice is bankruptcy law. He is a frequent lecturer for various professional groups on creditors'/debtors' rights, collections issues and bankruptcy law. Mr. Nave is a board-certified consumer bankruptcy specialist, Tennessee Commission of Continuing Legal Education and Specialization, and American Board of Certification. He earned both his B.A., magna cum laude, and J.D. degrees from Washington and Lee University. Mr. Nave is a member of the Nashville (member, Bankruptcy Law Section) and Tennessee and Federal bar associations.
