December 8 - Chattanooga RICHARD W. BUHRMAN is the principal attorney of the Chattanooga law firm of Buhrman & Associates, P.C., where his practice focuses on the areas of taxation, estate planning and probate, and corporate and commercial matters. He has been practicing law for nearly 40 years and is a frequent speaker on the topics of estate planning and taxation before various professional groups, including the Tennessee Bar Association. Mr. Buhrman serves as the chairman of the Duke University Estate Planning Council before, which he has lectured on matters related to post-mortem estate planning. He earned his A.B. degree, with honors, from the University of Chattanooga, his LL.B. degree from Duke University School of Law and his LL.M. degree from George Washington University School of Law. Mr. Buhrman is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Chattanooga and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. BARRY L. GOLD is a partner with the Chattanooga law firm of McWilliams & Gold, practicing primarily in family law. Mr. Gold earned his A.B. degree, magna cum laude, and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Georgia. He is a frequent speaker on family law and related topics before a variety of professional groups. Mr. Gold is a member of the Chattanooga and Tennessee bar associations, and the State Bar of Georgia. He frequently serves as a family law mediator in Tennessee. Mr. Gold is the 2009 Chattanooga Bar Association Family Law Section chair and the 2009-2010 vice chair for the Tennessee Bar Association's Family Law Section. He was the chair of the Tennessee Bar Association's Family Law Section in 2003-2004 and he has been a member of the Tennessee Bar Association's Family Law Section Executive Committee since 2002. Mr. Gold served as a member of the Tennessee Department of Human Services Income Shares Advisory Committee and currently serves as a hearing officer for the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility. LESLIE B. McWILLIAMS is a partner with the Chattanooga law firm of McWilliams & Gold, where she practices exclusively in family law with an emphasis in children's law and adoption. Ms. McWilliams is certified as a family law specialist by the Tennessee Commission on Continuing Education and Specialization. She is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education programs regarding juvenile children and family law matters. SCOTT TAYLOR is an attorney with Bernstein, Stair & McAdams LLP, where his main areas of practice are family law, divorce, business litigation, general civil litigation and business transactions. Mr. Taylor was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in October 2000 and joined the law firm at that time. He is a member of the Tennessee, Knoxville and American bar associations. Mr. Taylor graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law. ROBERT J. TURNER is principal with Robert J. Turner & Associates, P.C., where he practices in the areas of family law, criminal law and plaintiff's personal injury. His certifications include civil trial specialist and criminal trial specialist. Mr. Turner previously has lectured to the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers on motion practice and DUIs. He also published the case document "Dockins v. Balboa Ins.
