PAUL W. AMBROSIUS is an attorney in the Nashville law firm of Trauger & Tuke. Mr. Ambrosius handles complex litigation and intellectual property matters for clients in the health care, securities, technology, and nonprofit sectors. His litigation practice includes federal and state court appeals, as well as appeals from administrative agency decisions. Mr. Ambrosius teaches appellate practice at Vanderbilt Law School, serves on the Executive Committee of the Tennessee Bar Association's Federal Practice Section, recently chaired the Appellate Practice Committee of the Nashville Bar Association, and is an active member of the American Health Lawyers Association. He is a member of the bars of the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 6th, 11th, and Federal Circuits. Mr. Ambrosius earned his A.B. degree from The University of Chicago and his J.D. degree from Columbia University. GARRETT E. ASHER is a partner in the Nashville law firm of Parker, Lawrence, Cantrell & Smith, where he practices in general litigation with an emphasis on professional negligence. He is also a registered nurse. Mr. Asher has had articles published in the Tennessee Law Review and Litigation Letter and recently published an article in the June 2007 issue of Nursing Management. He is a member of the Nashville and Tennessee (past chair, Litigation Section) bar associations, the Tennessee and American Nurses' associations, and the American Association of Nurse Attorneys. Mr. Asher earned his B.S. degree in nursing from Tennessee State University and his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville where he was Order of the Coif. CHAD M. JACKSON joined Morgan & Akins, PLLC, in 2010, with more than six years of prior litigation experience, primarily in workers' compensation and general liability matters. Mr. Jackson served as the lead trial attorney at his former firm and is an experienced litigator with extensive knowledge of the administrative and judicial systems across Tennessee. Mr. Jackson has served as an adjunct professor of Business Law at Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tennessee, and he is often invited to be a guest speaker and expert panelist on workers' compensation matters. Mr. Jackson is a seasoned litigation attorney who has tried numerous bench and jury cases in all areas of civil litigation, with emphasis on workers' compensation claims, motor vehicle accidents, premises liability claims, products liability claims and Governmental Tort Liability Act claims. Mr. Jackson earned his law degree from the University of Memphis in 2004. While in law school he received the CALI Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy, served as Chief Justice of the Moot Court Board, served as a coach and member of the Jessup International Law traveling moot court team and received the Dean's Distinguished Service Award. Mr. Jackson earned his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Cumberland University, where he received several awards including the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award in Humanities and the John W. Burgess Award in Political Science. While in college Mr. Jackson also served as an intern to the 101st Tennessee General Assembly, and he continues to be involved in civic and political endeavors today.
