August 4 - Nashville KEITH C. DENNEN is a member of the Nashville law firm of Bone McAllester Norton PLLC, where his main areas of practice are litigation, franchise law, hospital law, health care, commercial law, corporate law, intellectual property and employment. Mr. Dennen is a frequent lecturer on ethics and has spoken to various groups including the American Bar Association's Forum on Franchising. He is the editor of the Tennessee Ethics Handbook - 2nd edition. Mr. Dennen earned his B.B.A. and his J.D. degrees from the University of Memphis. He is a former chair of the American Bar Association's Young Lawyers Ethics and Professionalism Committee and the former chair of the Tennessee Bar Association Young Lawyers Division's Ethics and Professionalism Committee. RALPH Z. LEVY JR. is of counsel with Dickinson Wright PLLC, where his areas of practice include entity formation and operation, entrepreneurial business services, estate planning and family succession planning, heath enterprises and transactions and tax planning and controversies. In nearly 30 years of practicing law, his extensive experience includes private practice as well as serving for over ten years as general counsel, executive vice president and secretary for Gambro Healthcare, Inc., a national provider of dialysis services. MORRIS is an attorney with the Nashville law firm of Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis LLP, and practices in the area of tax law. Mr. Morris advises clients on state and federal tax matters related to business transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions and tax-free re-organizations in a variety of industries, including healthcare and financial services. His healthcare experience includes tax planning for partnership syndications involving ambulatory surgery centers. NEAL GRAHAM is a member of the Memphis firm of Harris Shelton Hanover Walsh, PLLC, and focuses his legal practice on corporate, tax and regulatory issues applicable to business transactions. He has extensive experience in representing nonprofit hospitals, physicians and other healthcare entities in connection with various types of legal issues. Mr. Graham also assists for-profit entities in connection with mergers and acquisitions, and the issuance of equity and debt securities. Mr. Graham earned his B.B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Mississippi, and his LL.M. degree from the University of Florida. LOVELL is a member with the Memphis firm of Burch, Porter & Johnson, PLLC, where he practices in the areas of taxation, nonprofit/tax exempt organizations, business transactions and corporate law. Mr. Lovell has taught several seminars on business entities and nonprofit organizations and is an adjunct assistant professor at Rhodes College where he teaches tax and business law courses. Ms. Williams has extensive experience in representing both buyers and sellers in merger, acquisition and restructuring transactions. August 6 - Knoxville THOMAS E. BOOKER is a senior manager in the tax practice of the Knoxville office of Joseph Decosimo & Company, PLLC. His emphasis is in the areas of accounting, tax compliance, and tax planning for physicians, physician practices, small businesses, and other professionals. Mr. Booker is a member of the AICPA and the Tennessee Society of CPA's. Currently he is the president for the TSCPA Knoxville Chapter. He graduated with a B.S.B.A degree and Master of Accountancy from the University of Tennessee, and a Master of Business Administration from Tennessee Tech University. JUSTIN R. MARTIN is an attorney in the law firm of Kizer & Black, Attorneys, PLLC, where he focuses his practice in business, transactional, corporate, commercial, and bankruptcy law. Mr. Martin is admitted to practice in the state and federal district courts of the State of Tennessee, and is a member of the American, Tennessee, Knox County and Blount County bar associations, including the Business and Corporate Counsel sections of the Tennessee, Knox and American bar associations.
