L. ALAN HARDEE is president and founder of Brookwood Wealth Management, LLC, a comprehensive wealth management firm based in Brentwood, Tennessee. For more than 20 years, Mr. Hardee has been helping others in the areas of financial and estate planning, including retirement plan distribution strategies, investment portfolio management, wealth transfer planning and asset protection planning. While he spends most of his time working with his own private clients, he also serves as a consultant and advisor to other estate and financial planners throughout the country. Mr. Hardee has been a featured speaker and writer on the topic of "Retirement Plan Distribution Strategies," and has authored dozens of articles in recent years on various financial and estate planning topics. In addition to being a licensed attorney, he is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), a licensed Investment Advisor Representative and a licensed life insurance agent. Mr. Hardee is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and the Society of Financial Service Professionals. He earned his B.A. degree in economics from the University of the South, his M.B.A. degree in finance from Belmont University and his J.D. degree from the Nashville School of Law. PATRICIA P. KRYDER is an attorney with the Nashville law firm of King & Ballow, where she works in the areas of estate planning, tax and general business law. She was previously of counsel to the law firm Heiskell, Donelson, Bearman, Adams, Williams & Kirsch, and a partner with Waller Lansden Dortch and Davis, both in Nashville, Tennessee. Ms. Kryder is admitted to practice in Florida, Tennessee and the District of Columbia. She earned her B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Denison University, her J.D. degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law and her L.L.M. degree in taxation from the University of Florida Graduate Tax Program. PAUL S. PARKER is a shareholder in the Nashville law firm of Dodson, Parker, Behm & Capparella, P.C., practicing in the areas of estate planning and probate, tax, small business and corporation law. Mr. Parker has been practicing law for 30 years, and has lectured for National Business Institute and other groups on matters related to choice of business entity, estate planning and probate. He co-wrote West's probate forms for their Tennessee Practice Legal Forms Book. Mr. Parker is a past treasurer for the Nashville Bar Association, and a member of the Tennessee Bar Association (Tax Section) and American Bar Association (Tax Section). He earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from Cornell College and his J.D. degree from Vanderbilt University. DAVID B. PARSONS is a partner with the law firm of Baker, Campbell & Parsons in Nashville, where his work includes tax planning (individual, corporate and estate) and business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Parsons is a frequent speaker for National Business Institute and other groups on tax topics, as well as estate planning issues. In addition to practicing law for more than 30 years, Mr. Parsons is a certified public accountant in the state of Tennessee. He earned his A.B. degree from Duke University and his J.D. degree from the University of Chicago. Mr. Parsons is a member of the Tennessee, Nashville and American bar associations, the District of Columbia Bar and the North Carolina State Bar.
