May 14 - Rapid City ERIKA CAMPBELL is an attorney with Estes & Campbell Law Firm. She is a member of the State Bar of South Dakota. Prior to joining the Estes & Campbell Law Firm, Ms. Campbell worked as a financial advisor for Piper Jaffray & Co. (now UBS Financial), where she earned the Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) designation from the College of Financial Planning. Previously, she worked as a trust officer for Commerce Bank of Kansas City, served as a law clerk to Justice Gerald Schroeder of the Idaho Supreme Court and was an associate at Holland and Hart, LLP in Boise, Idaho. During law school, Ms. Campbell also served as a summer associate for Dillingham & Murphy, LLP, in San Francisco, California, and Winthrop, Stimson, Putnam & Roberts (now Winthrop, Pillsbury, Shaw Pittman) in Washington, D.C. She earned her J.D. degree from the William and Mary School of Law in Williamsburg, Virginia, where she served as the editor-in-chief and symposium editor of the William and Mary Environmental Law and Policy Review. Ms. Campbell also was the historian for Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity, and received the prestigious Dean's Certificate upon graduation. Her bachelor's degree was completed, with honors, from Saint Olaf College, in Northfield, Minnesota. ANDREW J. KNUTSON is an attorney at Gunderson Palmer Nelson Ashmore, LLP. He is a member of the State Bar of South Dakota and serves on the Business Law Committee. Mr. Knutson also is a member of the American and Pennington County bar associations, and participates in various local community organizations. He also serves on the local Board of Directors for Junior Achievement. Mr. Knutson graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law, where he was a Law Merit Scholar. RIGGINS joined Gunderson Palmer Nelson Ashmore, LLP as an associate in August 2007 after a one-year clerkship with the First Judicial Circuit Court. While there, he clerked for the Honorable Arthur L. Rusch, Honorable Glen W. Eng and the Honorable Steven R. Jensen. Mr. Riggins graduated from the University of South Dakota School of Law in Vermillion, South Dakota. While attending law school, he was a member of the Client Counseling and Negotiations Board. Mr. Riggins served as treasurer for one year. His undergraduate studies were completed at Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Mr. Riggins is a member of the American Bar Association and the State Bar of South Dakota. THOMAS E. SIMMONS is a partner with the Rapid City law firm of Gunderson Palmer Nelson Ashmore, LLP, where he is a member of the firm's business and estate planning group. Since 1998, his areas of practice have included estate planning, elder law, asset protection, real property and probate. Mr. Simmons earned his B.S. degree from the University of South Dakota and his J.D. degree from the University of South Dakota School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in South Dakota, Wyoming and Nebraska. McLEAN A. THOMPSON is an attorney at Lynn, Jackson, Shultz, P.C., where she specializes in business and commercial planning, wills and trusts, mergers and acquisitions, and probate law. She is a member of the American Bar Association. Ms. Thompson earned her B.S. degree from the University of South Dakota and her J.D. degree from the University of South Dakota School of Law.
