SARAH L. CLINGMAN focuses her practice exclusively in the areas of elder law, estate planning, including trust and special needs planning, probate and fiduciary representation, real estate and corporate law. Ms. Clingman has been a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) since 1992 and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the SC NAELA Chapter. She also is a member of the Elder Law Committee and the Probate, Estate and Trust Section of the South Carolina Bar. Ms. Clingman is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of South Carolina, the Court of Appeals of Maryland, the U.S. Federal District courts for the districts of South Carolina and Maryland, the U.S. Federal Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. She also is a member of the American, Richland and Lexington County bar associations, the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association and the Maryland State Bar Association. Ms. Clingman also is a Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA), as certified by the National Elder Law Foundation (the only certification in disability and special needs planning recognized by the South Carolina Supreme Court). She also is a Certified Circuit Court Mediator. Ms. Clingman is an active volunteer for the South Carolina Bar Pro Bono Program and serves as counsel to several non-profit organizations serving the elderly and disabled. She previously served on the Board of Directors of the Alzheimer's Association, Palmetto Chapter and the Citizens Advisory Boards of the C.M. Tucker Center. Ms. Clingman currently serves on the Advisory Board to the Rice Home and the Board of the SC Mayflower Society. WILLIAM J. CUTCHIN is a sole practitioner in Mount Pleasant, where his areas of practice include estate planning, tax, elder law and business law. Mr. Cutchin has spoken to many groups on topics relating to his areas of practice, and has taught several courses and seminars on these subjects. He earned his B.A. degree from Wofford College. Before going to law school and earning his J.D. degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law, Mr. Cutchin worked in the banking and private industry for about 20 years. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar (member, Estate Planning Section) and the Charleston County Bar Association. G.P. DIMINICH is a member of the law firm of Clawson & Staubes, LLC, and a certified specialist in taxation law, as well as a certified specialist in estate planning and probate law. He practices in the areas of wills, trusts, probate, estate planning, mergers and acquisitions, tax law, corporate law, partnership law, tax-exempt organizations, state and local taxation, business litigation, and probate litigation. Mr. Diminich is a past legal writing instructor for the University of South Carolina School of Law. He is a member of the Charleston County, Berkeley County, and American bar associations (member, Taxation, Real Property, Probate and Trust Law, and Business Law sections); the South Carolina Bar (member, Tax Law, Probate, Estate Planning and Trust Law, and Corporate, Banking and Securities Law sections); the Charleston Estate Planning Council; and the Charleston Tax Roundtable. Mr. Diminich is past president of the Charleston Tax Council, admitted to the U.S. Tax Court, and a Certified Circuit Court Mediator. He earned his B.A. degree, with honors, from Davidson College; his J.D. degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law; his I.M.B.A. degree from the University of South Carolina Moore School of Business and his LL.M. degree from New York University School of Law. KATHRYN C. YOUNGMAN is vice president and financial planning strategist with the Charleston office of BB&T Wealth Management. Ms. Youngman's practice areas include estate and gift returns, fiduciary income tax returns and assistance with estate administration, including accountings and proposals for distribution, with more than 10 years of practice experience in those fields. Ms. Youngman earned her B.S. degree in accounting and her Masters in professional accountancy (taxation) from Clemson University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (SCACPA), and the Charleston Estate Planning Council.
