JEFFREY T. ALLEN joined the McNair Law Firm, P.A., in 2006 as an associate in the business section and works in the Columbia office. He practices primarily in the areas of taxation and economic development. Mr. Allen has handled a variety of tax matters while at McNair, including matters relating to tax-exempt organizations, economic development incentives, state and local taxation, public finance, employee benefit programs, and tax audit representation. BLAKELY COPELAND CAHOON is a sole practitioner of Cahoon Law Firm, LLC, where she practices in the areas of state taxation law, federal taxation law, estate planning and probate. Ms. Cahoon has previously lectured on estate planning and probate issues to paralegals and other legal professionals. FRANK W. CURETON is a shareholder with the law firm of Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P.A. in Columbia, South Carolina. Mr. Cureton is a recognized leader on the tax issues involved in conservation easements. Mr. Deupree earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from Washington and Lee University. MADELEINE MCGEE serves as president for South Carolina Association of Nonprofit Organizations, SCANPO. This statewide membership association aims to strengthening South Carolina nonprofits by building the sector's knowledge network, encouraging collaboration and providing a collective voice. It currently serves more than 700 members and represents the thousands of active nonprofits in South Carolina. SCANPO believes that well managed and responsibly governed nonprofits are vital for strong and healthy South Carolina communities. She's run start-ups efforts, as well as established nonprofits . Ms. McGee started in the 1980's running a downtown redevelopment effort in Georgetown, South Carolina. She led the Coastal Community Foundation of South Carolina located in Charleston for nearly ten years and oversaw its expansion to serve eight coastal counties. Ms. McGee worked for local and state government and provided consulting services. She received her B.A. and M.B.A. from the University of Virginia, is a South Carolina Liberty Fellow, and serves on Sullivan's Island Town Council. Ms. McGee is perhaps most proud of being a Big Sister with the Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring program. ARTHUR F. PROFESSOR MARTIN C. MCWILLIAMS has been counsel to Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P.A. since 1988. He provides our clients a unique resource in sophisticated transactions and complex litigation. Mr. McWilliams is a member of the full time faculty at the University of South Carolina School of Law, he is responsible for course such as agency & partnership, business corporations, contracts, mergers & acquisitions, securites regulation and nonprofit corporations. He has been listed in The Best lawyers in America for corporate law since 1995. Mr. McWilliams is the director of the USC School of Law's study-abroad program at Gray's Inn in London and teaches transnational dispute resolution in that program. He is executive director of the South Carolina Law Institute and has been highly active in law reform in South Carolina. Mr. McWilliams current research and writing interests focus on the normative aspects of the regulation of the legal system. He has co-authored South Carolina Corporate Practice Manual and South Carolina Limited Liability Company Practice Manual for the South Carolina Bar. Mr. McWilliams is a member of the American Law Institute, South Carolina Bar and John Belton O'Neall Inn of Court. He earned his J.D. degree from the University of Mississippi, his B.A. degree from the University of Virginia and his LL.M. from Harvard University.
