MICHAEL J. POLK is an attorney with the South Carolina law firm of Belser & Belser, P.A., where he practices primarily in the areas of creditors' rights, bankruptcy, civil litigation, probate and related litigation and estate planning. Mr. Polk has previously lectured at seminars on "Advanced Bankruptcy Concepts in South Carolina" and "Fundamentals of Bankruptcy Law and Procedure in South Carolina." He earned his B.S. degree from Virginia Tech and his J.D. degree from the University of South Carolina. While at USC, he was a member of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Journal. Mr. Polk authors a blog entitled "The 4cbb" which focuses on 4th Circuit bankruptcy case summaries. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar, the South Carolina Bankruptcy Law Association and the American Bar Association (member, Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section).
