THOMAS E. ANDREWS III is a sole practitioner, where he has a general practice that includes handling VA cases before the Columbia Regional Office, Board of Veterans Appeals and the Court of Appeals for Veteran Claims. After graduating from law school, Mr. Andrews worked as a law clerk to the Hon. Michael Baxley in Hartsville, South Carolina. He then accepted a position as staff attorney with the South Carolina Court of Appeals. While working as a staff attorney, Mr. Andrews taught legal writing at the law school. He also worked as an associate attorney with Murphy and Grantland, LLC, where his practice included insurance defense and insurance coverage issues, as well as, construction defect litigation. Mr. Andrews wrote "Helping a Warrior: An Introduction to Veteran Benefits Law" for the South Carolina Young Lawyer. He earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from the South Carolina Honors College and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from USC's School of Law. REBECCA C. PATRICK is of counsel at the law office of Bluestein Nichols Thompson & Delgado, LLC. After Ms. Patrick completed law school, she received a direct appointment as an officer in the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General's Corps and served on active duty from November 1996 through June 2004. After she separated from the Air Force she worked for two different private firms in Columbia, South Carolina. In May 2006, she began representing veterans and in September of that same year she opened her own firm as a sole practitioner. Ms. Patrick recently joined Bluestein Nichols Thompson & Delgado, LLC to lead their veterans' disability practice area. She is admitted to practice in the following jurisdictions and courts: Mississippi; U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, U.S. Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals, and U.S. Military Courts-Martial; South Carolina; U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina; and U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. Ms. Patrick is accredited by the Department of Veterans Affairs and also is a member of the National Organization for Veterans' Advocates, Inc., South Carolina, Richland County and Mississippi bar associations, and the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims Bar Association. She teaches the Veterans Advocacy Seminar and clinic for the University of South Carolina, School of Law as an adjunct professor. Ms. Patrick earned her B.A.degree, magna cum laude, from the Mississippi University for Women and her J.D. degree, with distinction, from the Mississippi College School of Law.
