DAVID M. COLLINS JR. is a partner in the law firm of Lawrence Rudasill & Collins, where his main areas of practice include marital litigation and contested adoptions. He is licensed to practice in both North Carolina and South Carolina. Mr. Collins is a frequent presenter at CLE seminars on family law. He earned his B.A. degree from the University of South Carolina at Spartanburg, his M.P.A. from Clemson University and the University of South Carolina and his J.D. degree from the University of South Carolina. APRIL P. COUNTERMAN is a sole practitioner in Chester, South Carolina, where she practices in the areas of family law, real estate, probate, corporate, Social Security disability, personal injury and general litigation. She serves as the city attorney for Chester, as well as the attorney for the Chester County Guardian ad Litem program. MURPHY is a partner in the firm Kolb & Murphy Attorneys at Law, LLC. His areas of practice include criminal defense, military law, litigation, personal injury, accidents, family law, probate and general practice. Mr. Murphy is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Air Force, where he served with the Judge Advocate General Corps. He also is an Assistant Public Defender for Sumter County, where he has successfully represented individuals accused of numerous crimes, including murder, armed robbery, sexual assault and burglary. Mr. Murphy earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, and his M.A. degree from Duquesne University, and his J.D. degree from Duquesne University School of Law. He is admitted to the Supreme Court of the State of South Carolina, the U.S. District Court, District of South Carolina, the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit and for Veterans Claims, the U.S. Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. During his military career, Mr. Murphy prosecuted or defended hundreds of court-martials at trial and on appeal, including cases under the Uniform Code of Military Justice for murder, rape, robbery, child sexual abuse, assault, drug distribution and drug use. He has lectured on trial advocacy, homeland security law and employment law at various military educational institutions, authored articles on military justice and international relations, edited and co-authored a legal textbook, and authored eight published Civil Law Opinions of the Air Force Judge Advocate General. MONET S. PINCUS is a family law practitioner with Pincus Family Law, where she has been practicing exclusively in the Family Courts of South Carolina since 1997. She earned her B.A. degree from Seton Hall University and her J.D. degree from Mississippi College School of Law, where she was Casenote Editor for the Law Review, winner of the Moot Court Competition and was on the Moot Court Board. Ms. Pincus also is a graduate of the Houston Family Law Trial Institute. She has been an adjunct professor at USC School of Law, Columbia Junior College and South University, teaching classes in legal writing, bankruptcy and family law. Ms. Pincus is very active in the pro-bono community and has published a series of family law articles in the South Carolina newspaper City Mom. FAITH M. POPE is an attorney with Pincus Family Law, where she focuses on family law. She earned her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Wofford College and her J.D. degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she was a member of the Southeastern Environmental Law Journal, Women in Law, and the Student Bar Association. After law school, Ms. Pope worked in the area of personal injury and workers' compensation. She joined Pincus Family Law in 2010 and now practices exclusively in the family court. Ms. Pope is a member of the South Carolina Bar (Cinderella Project and Voices Against Violence committees), as well as serving as a volunteer Guardian ad Litem for the Richland County CASA and as a volunteer for Project Pet/Pawmetto Lifeline. REBECCA POSTON CREEL is an attorney with Pincus Family Law, where she practices exclusively in Family Court. She earned her 2 undergraduate degrees from Converse College and her J.D. degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she was a Johnson Legal Scholar. After law school, Ms. Poston Creel worked in the areas of residential real estate and foreclosure law before joining Pincus Family Law in 2009. She sits on the executive committee of V-Day Columbia and volunteers with SCCADVSA, the Alzheimer's Association and Project Pet. REBECCA WEST is an attorney with The Law Office of Richard J. Breibart, LLC, as the leader of the family court litigation department. She practices solely in the South Carolina Family Court. Ms. West has extensive experience in complex family court litigation, including custody, property division and Department of Social Service (DSS) matters. She has a particular interest in cases that include psychiatric issues. Ms. West has lectured at various legal education seminars, including, "What is your Expert Giving You?" Deposing Psychiatric and Psychological Professionals; Children's Issues in Family Court (CLE, March 2007); An Optimal View of 2005 (CLE, December 2005); and she also has written the Legal and Historical Analysis of the South Carolina Workers' Compensation Act (University of Texas at Arlington, 1997). In addition to her practice in the family court, Ms. West also is a certified family court mediator and offers mediation services both privately and through Richland and Lexington counties. She earned her undergraduate degree, with honors, from Lander University and her J.D. degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Since 2004, Ms. West has practiced primarily in the South Carolina Family Court. She practices in counties state-wide and has extensive experience in litigation and negotiation. Ms. West's practice has included litigation in the areas of child custody, division of assets and debts, and alimony. She is well versed in issues related to modification of prior court orders regarding children and support. Ms. West has represented parties in family court appeals dealing with complex cross-state jurisdictional issues.
