TERI CALLEN STOMSKI is Special Counsel with Rogers, Townsend & Thomas, PC, in the Business, Banking and Professional Practices Department, where she concentrates in commercial, real estate and banking transactions. She is the former South Carolina State Counsel for Investors Title Insurance Company. Ms. Stomski earned her B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of South Carolina. She received the 2009 Gold Compleat Lawyer Award by the University of South Carolina School of Law, an award given to alumni in recognition of their significant contributions to the legal profession and high standards of professional competence, ethics and integrity. She formerly practiced in the South Carolina Lowcountry in the areas of banking and real estate transactions and litigation. Following a move to Georgia where she provided in-house legal services in the banking industry, Ms. Stomski also worked as a commercial lender for financial institutions in Savannah, Georgia and was named the Business Banker of the Year in 2000 and 2001, the first female repeat winner of this award. She is a former adjunct professor at Savannah State University teaching corporate governance and is a guest lecturer at the University of South Carolina School of Law on title issues and real estate transactional law. Ms. Stomski is also a frequent lecturer and contributing author at continuing legal education seminars relating to real estate laws and regulations and title insurance underwirting. She is president of South Carolina's Palmetto Land Title Association (PLTA), where she has also served as chair of its Communications, Conventions and Membership Committees. She is past president of the Central SC Chapter of the Risk Management Association (RMA), which under her leadership received the Platinum Award, the highest honor for chapter excellence. Ms. Stomski serves on the Board of Directors and Loan Committee for Business Carolina and is a member of the Richland County Bar Association and South Carolina Bar, where she served on the Executive Council of the Young Lawyer's Division from 1999 to 2001. She is a graduate of the South Carolina Banker's School, where she was vice-president of the class of 2006, and of Leadership Lexington County, class of 2005, where she served as alumni advisor for the class of 2006. Ms. Stomski currently serves as the vice-chair of the Board of Trustees of Healthy Learners, a mission of the Sisters of Charity Health System devoted to removing children's health barriers to learning, and has served in many capacities with the Junior Leagues of Columbia and Savannah, Junior Achievement of Columbia and Savannah and the Rotary Club of Five Points, where she was named "The Charles C. Foster Rotarian of the Year 2007-2008," and serves on its 2009-2011 Board of Directors. (Charleston and Columbia locations) W. ALEX DALLIS JR. is the founding partner of Dallis & Badger, P.A., where he practices primarily in real estate law, commercial litigation and intellectual property. He served as an adjunct professor for the Department of Civil Engineering at Clemson University and The Citadel, and he co-wrote "Getting Started: A Practical Guide to Opening a Law Office," published by the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division. Mr. Dallis earned his B.S.E. degree, magna cum laude, from Princeton University and his J.D. degree from the University of South Carolina, where he was Order of the Coif. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar and the American Bar Association. (Charleston location) JANET E. HAIGLER is the managing attorney with Finkel Law Firm LLC. Ms. Haigler served as a Judicial Clerk for the Honorable E. C. Burnett, III, Judge of the 7th Judicial Circuit for South Carolina. She also has significant experience in bankruptcy trustee representation and commercial litigation issues. In 2006, Ms. Haigler was certified by the South Carolina Supreme Court as a specialist in Bankruptcy and Debtor-Creditor Law. She served as a member of the Advisory Committee for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of South Carolina. Ms. Haigler was named one of the top attorneys in South Carolina on the Super Lawyers list for 2009 and 2010. She is a member of the South Carolina Bar, the Richland County Bar Association and the South Carolina Bankruptcy Law Association. Ms. Haigler is a former professor at Columbia Junior College, where she taught bankruptcy and legal research and writing for the Professional Center for Paralegal Studies. She currently teaches at the University of South Carolina Paralegal Certificate Program. Ms. Haigler earned her J.D. degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. (Columbia location) COLLEEN A. McCONNELL is an attorney with Moore & Van Allen, PLLC. She has extensive bankruptcy experience. Ms. McConnell represents banks, credit unions, finance companies, homeowners and condominium associations. She represents creditors in bankruptcy, foreclosure and all other forms of practice in the creditors' rights area. Ms. McConnell concentrates her practice primarily in consumer bankruptcy, creditor's rights, commercial law and litigation. She is admitted to practice in South Carolina and before the U.S. District Court (District of South Carolina). Ms. McConnell is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the South Carolina Bankruptcy Law Association, the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association, South Carolina Bar, and the American and Charleston County bar associations. She earned her B.S. degree from the University of North Carolina at Wilmingtonand her J.D. degree from Campbell University. (Charleston location) SHAWN R. WILLIS is an attorney with the law firm of Turner Padget Graham & Laney, P.A., where he concentrates his practice in the area of commercial loan default services, including commercial loan workouts, mortgage foreclosure and collections. He also has experience in title issue resolution; commercial real estate (finance, development and transactions);, commercial leasing; residential subdivision development; residential real estate transactions; commercial contracts; limited liability company and partnership law; entity formation; wills; trusts and estate administration; and banking, business and corporate law. Mr. Willis is a member of the South Carolina Bar, the Richland County Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He is a recipient of the Order of Barristers and the CALI award (Real Estate Transactions).
