CONSTANCE A. ANASTOPOULO is a Professor of Law at the Charleston School of Law. Ms. Anastopoulo was formerly a partner at Anastopoulo & Clore, LLC, for 15 years, where she was head of the Appellate Division and worked with the litigation department. She was the lead counsel in Gaskins v. Southern Farm Bureau, which was chosen one of the ten most important decisions in South Carolina in 2003 by S.C. Lawyer's Weekly. Additionally, Ms. Anastopoulo was a member of the Plaintiff's Class Committee for In Re: Oxycotin in South Carolina. She earned her B.A. degree from the University of Virginia and her J.D. degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law. Ms. Anastopoulo speaks and publishes in the area of Insurance Law, including being a presenter at the prestigious UNC School of Law, Festival of Legal Learning, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina in February 2010. GERALD M. FINKEL is a professor of law at the Charleston School of Law and is of counsel to the Finkel Law Firm, LLC, with offices in Charleston and Columbia, South Carolina, where he practices in the areas of commercial and complex litigation, property rights, land use planning and insurance law. He lectures frequently to professional groups on his areas of practice. He has had articles published by the South Carolina Bar, the South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association and the American Law Institute. Mr. Finkel earned his B.A. degree from New York University and his J.D. degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. He is a member of the American and Richland County bar associations, the South Carolina Bar (former member, Board of Governors), the District of Columbia Bar, the South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association (past president), The American Association for Justice and the American Law Institute. GEORGE (GEOV) HANNA IV is a partner at the law firm of Howser Newman & Besley, where he focuses in the areas of premises liability, construction, automobile insurance, professional liability and products liability. Mr. Hanna is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, the South Carolina Bar and the Richland County Bar Association. He earned his B.A. degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his J.D. degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. ROBERT E. HOSKINS is a partner with Foster Law Firm, L.L.P., in Greenville, South Carolina. He has been handling ERISA claims for almost as long as he has been practicing law. Mr. Hoskins handled his first ERISA case in 1991 and won his first "big" ERISA case in 1992. Since then, he has handled literally thousands of ERISA and insurance cases of about every type imaginable. He regularly handles ERISA and insurance claims involving long-term disability, health insurance, life insurance, accidental death and pension/retirement matters. Mr. Hoskins has handled a number of notable ERISA and insurance cases before various courts, including handling the case of LaRue v. DeWolff, Boberg & Associates, Inc., 128 S. Ct. 1020, 169 L.Ed. 2d 847 (2008) from its inception in the South Carolina District Court in Charleston, through the Fourth Circuit, up to the U.S. Supreme Court. He has also handled at least 25 other cases which have resulted in published decisions from various U.S. Courts of Appeal. He lectures frequently on ERISA related topics, and he is the administrator of a popular website for attorneys, ERISABoard.com. Mr. Hoskins is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and University of South Carolina School of Law.
