March 19 - Charleston D. NATHAN DAVIS is the owner of the Davis Law Firm in Charleston, where his areas of practice include bankruptcy, real property and business law. As a licensed title insurance agent, he has represented builders, developers, and individual buyers and sellers, as well as being involved in numerous quiet title actions for matters involving both heirs' property and tax sale issues. Mr. Davis earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of South Carolina. He continues to represent primarily debtors, both individual and corporate. Mr. Davis is a member of the South Carolina Bar, the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and the South Carolina Bankruptcy Law Association. He also is admitted to the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. DAMIEN A. SOBIERAJ is a transactional attorney who practices in the areas of commercial and residential real estate, small business formation, commercial transactions and probate. He earned his B.A. degree in history from the University of South Carolina. Upon graduation, Mr. Sobieraj worked as a title abstractor for Rogers, Townsend & Thomas, PC, in Columbia, searching titles for residential and commercial real estate closings and foreclosures in 37 of the 46 counties in South Carolina. In 2005, he moved to Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, to concentrate on residential closings with Lowcountry Legal Group, LLC. Mr. Sobieraj established his own practice in Mt. Pleasant called Cooper River Legal Services, LLC in March 2007. SHAWN R. WILLIS is an attorney with Turner, Padget, Graham & Laney, P.A., in Charleston, South Carolina, where he practices primarily in the areas of commercial real estate, creditors' rights, taxation, community associations, real estate litigation, general corporate law and estate planning. Mr. Willis previously practiced in Columbia, South Carolina with Whitener, Wharton & Willis, P.A., and Rogers, Townsend & Thomas, P.C. DUNN II is a partner with the law firm of Holler, Dennis, Corbett, Ormond, Plante & Garner in Columbia, South Carolina. He earned his B.S. degree, summa cum laude, with senior departmental honors, from Clemson University; and his J.D. degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he served on the Student Editorial Board of the American Bar Association's Real Property, Probate and Trust Journal. Prior to joining Holler, Dennis, Corbett, Ormond, Plante & Garner, he served as underwriting and claims counsel for Stewart Title Guaranty Company's South Carolina Office. Mr. Dunn is a member of the Richland County and South Carolina bar associations. LISA M. HOSTETLER is an attorney in the Transactional Law Department with the law firm of Rogers, Townsend & Thomas, PC. She practices in the areas of real estate owned (REO) and residential real estate transactions, title insurance, estate planning, and contract negotiation and drafting. Ms. Hostetler frequently presents on topics such as short sales, foreclosures, title 101, landlord-tenant law, contracts, real estate, and advanced real estate. She also conducts closings for new home owners of Habitat for Humanity houses. Ms. Hostetler is a member of the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association, treasurer of the Mortgage Bankers Association, on the board of the Rotary Club of Five Points, and is scholarship chair of the Palmetto Land Title Association.
