LILLIAN M. LLOYD is an attorney in the Providence law firm of Visconti & Boren, Ltd. She concentrates her practice in the areas of estate and tax planning, business planning, asset protection, elder law, disability planning and probate practice. Ms. Lloyd is admitted to practice in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. She is a frequent lecturer on estate planning, elder law and Medicaid for National Business Institute and Educational Services, Inc. Ms. Lloyd has been a featured speaker at the Rhode Island Bar's annual meeting. She has been published in the Rhode Island Bar Journal. Ms. Lloyd earned her B.A. degree, magna cum laude, and her M.A. and C.A.G.S. degrees from Rhode Island College, her J.D. degree, cum laude, from Suffolk University, and her M.S. degree from Bryant College. She is a member of the Rhode Island (member, sections on Probate and Trust) and American bar associations. Ms. Lloyd also is a member of the MA Chapter of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys. JOSEPH R. MARION III is an associate with the Boston, Massachusetts and Providence, Rhode Island firm of Burns & Levinson LLP, in its trusts and estates group. His areas of practice include estate and income tax planning with an additional focus in land conservation easements and associated tax implications, long-term care planning, probate and trust administration, business succession planning and real estate transactions. Mr. Marion is a member of the Rhode Island and the Massachusetts bar associations. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island. Mr. Marion is an active member of the community and serves on various boards, associations and committees such as the Rhode Island Foundation Advisory Board, the Rhode Island Bar Association; Rhode Island Bar Committee on Probate and Trusts; Rhode Island Estate Planning Council; Rhode Island Planned Giving Council; Newport County Advisory Council; The Finance Committee of The Board of Directors for the University of Rhode Island Alumni Association; The Board of Directors for the Newport County Council on the Arts; The Advisory Board for the Little Compton Community Center and was formerly the vice chairperson for the Little Compton Agricultural Conservancy Trust (1998-2007). He also is a member of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys. Mr. Marion earned his J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law and his B.A. degree, high distinction, from the University of Rhode Island. He is a frequent lecturer and author for National Business Institute and the Rhode Island Bar Association on estate planning and administration, taxation, business planning and Medicaid planning. JAMES J. MULLEN is an attorney with Mullen Law Offices in Bristol, Rhode Island. He has a great deal of legal experience, including serving as staff judge advocate to the 43rd Military Police Brigade for the Rhode Island National Guard from 1972 to 1974, legal counsel to the Rhode Island Legislative Council from 1976 to 1985, chief legal counsel to the 1986 Rhode Island Constitutional Convention and town solicitor and probate judge in Charleston, Rhode Island from 1990 to 1992. Mr. Mullen is admitted to practice in Rhode Island and is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. He attended Providence College and Boston College Law School.
