KYLE K. COURTNEY is an attorney presently working at Harvard Law School as the Head of External Resource Sharing and Faculty Research. He currently maintains a dual appointment at Northeastern University teaching International and Foreign Legal Research for the School of Law, and Cyberlaw: Privacy, Ethics, and Digital Rights for the interdisciplinary Information Assurance program at the College of Computer and Information Science. For the past five years, Mr. Courtney has continued to design and teach seminars in international legal research methods for the Bringing Human Rights Home Lawyers' Network. He graduated with distinction from Suffolk University School of Law, where he was accepted into the school's specialized Intellectual Property program. Mr. Courtney earned his MLS from Simmons College in Boston. He is a published author and writes a monthly column on research methods for Massachusetts Lawyer's Weekly. Mr. Courtney's book, International Human Rights: Research and Process, is forthcoming in 2011. ELIZABETH G. HOLMES is the librarian at Partridge Snow & Hahn, LLP, where for the last three years she has managed the firms information resources, and provided reference and research for members of the firm. She was a faculty member for NBIs 2008 Find It Free and Fast on the Net seminar. While a law librarian at the University of Georgia, Ms. Holmes gave several seminars on Internet searching, and the use of the Internet for legal research for legal professionals for the Institute for Continuing Legal Education in Georgia. She has also spoken on subject access to Internet resources and on management skills for librarians at the Annual Meeting of the American Association of Law Libraries. Ms. Holmes earned her B.A. degree from Lafayette College and M.S.L.I.S. degree from the University of Rhode Island. She is a member of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL), the Law Librarians of New England (LLNE), the Association of Boston Law Librarians (ABLL), and the Rhode Island Library Association (RILA). KAREN QUINN is State Law Librarian at the Rhode Island State Law Library, where she provides reference and research for the Judiciary, members of the Rhode Island bar, students from a variety of educational institutions and the citizens of Rhode Island. Ms. Quinn lectures often on legal research skills and has given seminars on internet use in legal research for a variety of groups including the Rhode Island Library Association, the Rhode Island Bar Association, the RI League of Cities and Towns as well as the National Business Institute. She earned her B.A. degree from Emmanuel College in Boston and M.L.I.S. degree from the University of Rhode Island . Ms. Quinn is a member of the American Association of Law Librarians (AALL), president of the NELLCO Library Consortium, Treasurer for the Law Librarians of New England (LLNE) and chair of the Board of Trustees for the Lincoln Public Library.
