December 13 - Allentown WENDY J. ASHBY is owner of Ashby Law Offices, LLC, and has devotedly pursued the practice of law in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey, since 1992, in the areas of wills/estates, elder law, mediation, family law and adoptions. Ashby Law Offices has offices in Quakertown, Allentown and Warrington, Pennsylvania. Prior to forming her current firm, Ms. Ashby practiced privately in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and was selected by the State of New Jersey Superior Court as one of the two attorneys to implement the new state-reengineered court case management system, Differentiated Case Management (DCM), in the Mercer County Civil Division. Ms. Ashby is a certified mediator and has been invited to speak for many elder, financial, attorney, insurance groups and civil groups on the topics of estate asset preservation planning and ethical issues for the elderly. ROBERT R. KREITZ is a partner with the law firm of Roland Stock, where his areas of practice include elder law, estate planning and estate administration. Mr. Kreitz is an active member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Elder Law Section, the Berks County Bar Association Estate Planning/Elder Law Section and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). He is also a member of the Berks County Orphans' Court Rules Committee. DIONYSIOS C. PAPPAS is an attorney with the law firm of Vasiliadis & Associates in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where he practices in the areas of elder law, trust and estate planning, trust and estate administration, and Veterans' pension benefits planning. Mr. Pappas is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He earned his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Temple University; and his J.D. degree from Temple University Beasley School of Law. While attending law school, Mr. Pappas served an extended summer internship in 2003 as a law clerk to the Honorable George Koudelis, Delaware County Court of Common Pleas, 32nd Judicial District for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He is a VA accredited attorney for the preparation, presentation and prosecution of claims for veterans benefits before the Department of Veterans Affairs. Mr. Pappas frequently lectures and contributes articles to professional and community organizations on issues concerning elder law, trust & estate planning, trust & estate administration, and Veterans' pension benefits planning. He was selected as a Pennsylvania Rising Star in 2010 and 2011. December 14 - Harrisburg THOMAS P. GACKI is a member of the Harrisburg law firm of Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, LLC, where his practice focuses on estate and business planning, commercial real estate, and probate law and litigation. He earned his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Gannon University and his J.D. degree from Dickinson School of Law. Mr. Gacki previously has spoken before professional and civic groups on topics relating to his areas of practice. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and past president of the Dauphin County Bar Association. Mr. Gacki also serves as solicitor to the Dauphin County Register of Wills and Clerk of the Orphans' Court, as well as the Dauphin County Housing Authority. JOHN W. METZGER is a partner in the Lancaster firm of May, Metzger and Zimmerman, LLP, where he practices in the areas of taxation, probate, trusts, estate planning, business entities, real estate, orphans court practice, orphans court litigation and zoning law. He earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from the University of Richmond and his J.D. degree from Temple University School of Law. Since 1990, he has been chairman of the Lancaster Township Zoning Hearing Board. WHITLEY is an attorney with the Harrisburg law firm of Skarlatos & Zonarich, LLC, where she practices in the area of estate planning, and trust and estate administration.
