ROBERT C. BROWN JR. is a member in the law firm of Fox, Oldt & Brown, where he concentrates his practice in elder law, Medicaid "pre-planning" and "crisis planning," estate planning, estate and trust administration, planning for children and adults with disabilities and special needs, real estate, and small business formation and transactions. Mr. Brown earned his A.B. degree from Pennsylvania State University and his J.D. degreee from Temple University School of Law. During his career, he has been a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Northampton County Bar Association and is admitted to practice in the Courts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Brown has served on the Board of Governors for the Northampton County Bar Association, including the position of secretary, and served as editor of the Northampton County Reporter for ten years. He also was instrumental in the formation of Northampton County Bar Association Elder Law Committee and served as the committee's first chairperson. Mr. Brown has served as a speaker for various Pennsylvania Bar Institute continuing legal education seminars as well as Northampton County Bar Association seminars and authored materials in connection with those presentations. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Academy of Special Needs Planners, and Pennsylvania Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Mr. Brown also is included in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in American Law. EILEEN M. GOODWIN is the Northeast Regional APPRISE Coordinator and works out of the Diakon Family and Community Ministries office. She focuses in providing education and counseling to all Medicare beneficiaries and she trains volunteers from across the state to provide the counseling as well. Ms. Goodwin has been involved in this position for the past five years and was previously a training specialist for more than15 years, where she trained staff in group homes for individuals with disabilities. Ms. Goodwin is a member of Business and Professional Women's (BPW) Foundation. DIONYSIOS C. PAPPAS is an attorney with the law firm of Vasiliadis & Associates in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where he practices in the areas of elder law, trust and estate planning, trust and estate administration, and Veterans' Pension Benefits planning. Mr. Pappas is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He earned his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Temple University and his J.D. degree from Temple University Beasley School of Law. While attending law school, Mr. Pappas served an extended summer internship in 2003 as a law clerk to the Honorable George Koudelis, Delaware County Court of Common Pleas, 32nd Judicial District for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He is a VA accredited attorney for the preparation, presentation, and prosecution of claims for veterans benefits before the Department of Veterans Affairs. Mr. Pappas frequently lectures and contributes articles to professional and community organizations on issues concerning Elder Law, Trust & Estate planning, Trust & Estate administration, and Veterans' Pension Benefits planning. Most recently, he was selected as a Pennsylvania Rising Star 2010.
