BENJAMIN M. BASISTA joined Burns White, Attorneys at Law in 2004. He is an associate concentrating his practice in the area of Medicare compliance. Mr. Basista focuses his practice on addressing Medicare issues that arise in the resolution of workers' compensation, general liability, and FELA claims. He is retained as National Medicare Counsel and Advisory Medicare Counsel by a number of insurance carriers, third party administrators, and self-insured entities, including Class I and short line railroads, to advise on compliance matters regarding the Medicare Secondary Payer Statute. Mr. Basista is a frequent lecturer on the topic of Medicare compliance to insurance carriers, self-insured businesses, law firms and professional organizations. He has been named as industry Medicare counsel to the Association of American Railroads and has assumed the role of legislative chair for the National Association of Medicare Set-Aside Professionals. Mr. Basista earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he was a finalist for the 2003 Herman L. Foreman Labor Law Award, and his B.S. degree from The Pennsylvania State University. Previously, he served as a law clerk with the Hon. Paul F. Lutty in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County and in the Pittsburgh office of the National Labor Relations Board. A native of Pittsburgh, Mr. Basista is admitted to practice law in the state of Pennsylvania. STEWART C. CRAWFORD JR. is the owner proprietor of the Law Offices of Stewart C. Crawford & Associates. Mr. Crawford earned his J.D. degree from the Widener University School of Law. He is a member of the Delaware State Bar Association and the National Association of Subrogation Professionals. MELISSA S. DANKO is an associate with Burns White LLC, in the firm's litigation practice group, focusing her practice in workers' compensation matters. She was selected as a 2011 Pennsylvania Super Lawyers® Rising Star by her peers. Ms. Danko has experience representing local and national self-insured employers, insurance companies and third party administrators in all phases of litigation. In addition to litigation services, she has counseled employers on a wide variety of risk management issues and has presented lectures and seminars on workers' compensation-related topics. Ms. Danko has extensive trial/hearing experience and significant experience arguing workers' compensation cases before the Workers' Compensation Appeal Board. She has presided over numerous mediations before workers' compensation judges across Pennsylvania. Ms. Danko is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Allegheny County Bar Association and The West Virginia Bar Association. She earned her B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Thiel College and her J.D. degree from Duquesne University School of Law. RANDY C. GREENE is the resident partner for the Dugan, Brinkmann, Maginnis and Pace's New Jersey office. His practice includes property subrogation, general civil litigation, auto, premises and product liability litigation. Mr. Greene also handles matters involving information technology including internet privacy. He was admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey in 1991. Mr. Greene graduated from Franklin and Marshall College and from Temple University School of Law, where he earned, cum laude, honors and numerous academic awards. He was a National Semi-Finalist as a member of Temple University's National Trial Team. Mr. Greene is a member of the Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel and the Gloucester County Bar Association. He has participated on the faculty of various National Institute of Trial Advocacy programs. Mr. Greene has assisted in the coaching of the Temple Law School Trial Teams. DAVID M. McCORMICK is the managing partner of the firm of McCormick & Priore, P.C., in Philadelphia, where he practices in the area of automobile insurance defense and bad faith litigation. He is a frequent speaker on subjects related to his area of practice. Mr. McCormick earned his B.S. degree from St. Joseph's College and his J.D. degree from Temple University. He is a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Defense Research Institute.
