KATHLEEN L. DAERR-BANNON is a sole practitioner in Philadelphia and is an experienced neutral available to serve in a variety of ADR matters, including early neutral evaluation, mediation, arbitration, facilitation, conciliation and as Judge Pro Tem. Approximately 16 years ago, she trained and began the practice of mediation in tort and insurance matters, including individual personal injury claims and also Manville asbestos mediation. In addition, Ms. Daerr-Bannon continued to serve as a neutral locally, nationally and in London, in the field of individual and mass tort/class action claims, including programs such as Dalkon Shield, Piper Aircraft and Silicone Breast Implant. More recently, she was appointed as a mediator and later as an arbitrator in the Smith Barney Dispute Resolution Process and as arbitrator in the Merrill Lynch Claims Resolution Process, class actions involving employment discrimination. Ms. Daerr-Bannon has served as mediator for EEOC, NARA and REDRESS; hearing examiner for SEPTA in post-determination hearings; arbitrator for AAA in individual and class action matters; arbitrator and mediator for NASD; and has been consulted in the design of an employment ADR program for a Fortune 500 corporation, as well as serving on a number of other private and court panels. Ms. Daerr-Bannon has conducted more than 1,000 arbitration, mediation and facilitation hearings in the substantive areas of commercial, employment, automobile, premises liability, medical and other professional negligence, insurance, aviation, consumer, securities and general tort, and contract litigation, as well as continuing to counsel clients in ADR settings. She is on the faculty at Temple University Fox School of Business, has taught at Temple University Japan Campus in Tokyo and has served as guest lecturer at Villanova School of Law. For several years, she was co-chair of the ADR committees of both the Philadelphia and Pennsylvania bar associations and a course planner for the first and second statewide ADR Institutes. In 2007, she continued as a course planner for the Third Annual ADR Institute in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. LEONARD DEUTCHMAN is general counsel and administrative partner for LDiscovery: Legal and Technology Consulting, a digital forensics, electronic discovery and legal consulting firm with offices in Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., New York City, Chicago, San Francisco and London. He advises clients regarding both the legal and technical aspects of data preservation policies, electronic discovery obligations and how best to meet them, and digital forensic investigations. He authors the monthly column on digital forensics and electronic discovery, “GeekSpeak,” in the Philadelphia Legal Intelligencer, and has provided numerous CLEs on Electronic Discovery and Digital Forensics through LDiscovery, as well as for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the Philadelphia Bar Association, National Business Institute, and other organizations. Along with LDiscovery's Brian Wolfinger, he has created, and teaches, a Digital Forensics curriculum for Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia. Mr. Deutchman came to LDiscovery after twenty years as a prosecutor in the Philadelphia district attorney's office, the last seven as chief of the Economic Crime Unit, which he expanded to become the Economic and Cyber Crime Unit; that expansion entailed construction of a computer forensics laboratory and the training of over a dozen detectives and prosecutors. He has investigated and prosecuted virtually every kind of economic and computer crime as both an assistant district attorney and a specially appointed assistant U.S. attorney. He is one of the country's most sought-after teachers of investigators of computer crime and fraud, having helped to design, as well as having taught, several courses for the National and Pennsylvania District Attorney's Associations, IACIS, and others. He has investigated and prosecuted numerous cases of trademark counterfeiting, particularly in the area of DVD and CD “piracy,” and has lectured on the subject as well. He also has authored dozens of pieces of legislation, dealing with economic crime, computer crime, electronic surveillance and other areas. He is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and pursued his doctorate at the University of California-Berkeley before attending law school. Mr. Deutchman earned his J.D. degree from Rutgers-Newark School of Law. EMILY J. HANLON is an attorney with Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP in the Litigation Services Department. She is also a member of the firm's Appellate and Labor & Employment Practice Groups. Ms. Hanlon has represented parties in various commercial litigation matters at the trial and appellate level, including product liability, financial services and other commercial disputes. She serves as a member of the firm's Associates Committee. MARK G. MCCREARY is a partner with Fox Rothschild LLP, where he focuses a segment of his practice on intellectual property and the law of the internet. He litigates and provides counsel on a wide range of technology-related matters. In addition, he practices general corporate and securities law. Mr. McCreary also works on issues concerning bankruptcy law and financial transactions, representing secured and unsecured creditors and focusing on debtors' and creditors' rights and trustees and creditors' committees; the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and related privacy protection of patient medical records; and privacy protection of personal credit information, including regulations under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Mr. McCreary writes for numerous legal and technology publications and is a frequent media source on these issues. He was selected as a Pennsylvania Rising Star by Philadelphia Magazine and Law & Politics Magazine, 2006. Mr. McCreary earned his B.A. degree from Villanova University and his J.D. degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law. He is admitted to the Pennsylvania and New Jersey bar associations and is a member of the American, Pennsylvania and Philadelphia bar associations.
