JEFFREY T. GETTY is a founding member of the MTG Law Group, LLC. The MTG Law Group, LLC counsels high net worth individuals and families with tax and legal advice on their estate planning, investments, business activities and charitable endeavors. Prior to joining MTG Law Group, LLC, Mr. Getty was the director of Wealth Strategies for the 8th largest bank in the U.S. and president of its Delaware trust company. He is experienced in developing, implementing and managing sophisticated wealth strategies including captive insurance companies, domestic and foreign asset protection trusts, family limited partnerships and concentrated positions. Mr. Getty also manages and develops strategic alliances with attorneys and other professional advisors across the country on wealth management, asset protection and related financial and business matters. He is a national author and speaker on sophisticated estate planning and asset protection planning. Mr. Getty has spoken at a number of professional forums and his articles have appeared in Trusts & Estates Magazine, The Asset Protection Journal, PA Banker, The National Accountancy Journal and Trusts & Investments. He also is one of the authors of a book on asset protection titled Asset Protection Strategies Planning With Domestic and Offshore Entities (Volume II). Mr. Getty earned his B.A. degree from College of Charleston, his J.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and his M.S. degree from Duquesne University. He is admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and an Accredited Estate Planner (AEP). J. MARK MUNSON is senior counsel with the Pittsburgh based law firm of Thorp Reed & Armstrong, LLP, where he concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning, business succession planning, charitable gift planning and estate and trust administration. He is a frequent lecturer on tax, estate, gift, and trust planning topics, as well as administration topics. Recently, Mr. Munson has written on the topics of "Section 529 Plans: Gifts to Grandchildren and Beyond" as part of an Estate Law Update and "Elections Made by the Executor" for a post-mortem estate planning seminar. He has prepared materials for panels addressing planning for non-traditional couples and families, and the use of HIPAA language in durable power of attorney documents. Mr. Munson serves as president of the Estate Planning Council of Pittsburgh and is a member of both the Allegheny County Bar Association (Probate and Trust Section) and the Pennsylvania Bar Association (Real Property, Probate & Trust Section). He earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from Gettysburg College and his J.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. RICHARD R. TARANTINE is a sole practitioner located in Pittsburgh, where his areas of practice include bankruptcy, asset protection planning, complex corporate and tax matters, including mergers and acquisitions, labor matters, shareholder disputes, corporate tax planning, charitable organizations, estate planning, and representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. He has written for and lectured at numerous seminars for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, National Business Institute and other organizations. Mr. Tarantine earned his B.B.A., M.S. and J.D. degrees from the University of Houston. He is a member of the American Bar Association; the Institute of Business Appraisers, and the Family Law, Taxation, Corporate and Probate and Trust sections of the Allegheny County and Pennsylvania bar associations.
