JOHN J. ARMINAS is an attorney with the law firm Goldberg Kamin & Garvin, where he concentrates his practice in the areas of municipal law, corporate, real estate, zoning and land use, civil litigation, eminent domain, and domestic relations. He has an extensive background in municipal law, and has represented numerous municipalities and authorities. BAUMILLER is an associate in the Public Sector Services and Natural Resources Groups of Babst, Calland, Clements and Zomnir, P.C. Mr. Baumiller's practice focuses on municipal law, with an emphasis on land use and development issues. He works with municipal clients, including several boroughs, townships, municipal authorities and zoning hearing boards in the Pittsburgh area. Mr. Baumiller also works with energy industry clients, with a particular emphasis on the land use issues related to the development of the Marcellus Shale. He was admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania in 2005. Mr. Baumiller also is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the U.S. District Courts for the Western and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania. At the University of Pittsburgh, Mr. Baumiller was the website manager and an assistant articles editor on the Pittsburgh Tax Review . While attending law school, Mr. Baumiller served as a law clerk in the City of Pittsburgh Department of Law. JESSICA L. CROWN is an associate attorney with the Law Offices of Patricia L. McGrail, LLC. She practices in the areas of municipal and school law, with a particular concentration in the Third-Class City Code, the Borough Code, and special education law. Ms. Crown also practices in the areas of family law, real estate and corporations. Prior to obtaining her law degree from the University of Pittsburgh, she earned a B.A. in sociology and anthropology, cum laude, from Elmira College, with a minor in criminal justice. She is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and a delegate to the Pennsylvania Bar Association. As a member of the ACBA, Ms. Crown holds the position of secretary of the Young Lawyers' Division and chairs the Public Service Committee. She also belongs to the Women in the Law Division, the Family Law Division, and the Association of Municipal and School Solicitors. Ms. Crown is also the Allegheny County coordinator for the national Wills For Heroes events, during which emergency personnel from the city of Pittsburgh and surrounding areas received legal advice and estate documents for no charge. GREGORY GLEASON is with the Law Offices of Ira Weiss in Pittsburgh, PA, and concentrates his practice in labor and employment law, equal employment law, school and municipal law. PETERS is a partner with Blumling & Gusky, LLP, in Pittsburgh, practicing in the firm's real estate and land use practice groups. Ms. Peters represents commercial and industrial clients in zoning, planning and land development matters, as well as sales and leasing. She also represents clients in negotiations and administrative proceedings before municipal governing and zoning boards, authorities, and state agencies. Her experience includes representing builders and developers involved with section 1983 actions against municipal corporations and authorities. Ms. Peters is a member of the Real Property Sections of the Allegheny County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association. She earned her B.A. degree from Pennsylvania State University and her J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from Widener University School of Law. Ms. Peters has presented various seminars on land use and development issues, including those confronting big box commercial retailers in Pennsylvania. HARLAN STONE is a principal of Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, P.C. He provides a wide range of services to municipal governments and local government officials, with an emphasis on real estate, planning, land use and zoning. A seasoned trial lawyer, he has many years of experience as a litigator in the areas of business law, employment law, lender liability law, tax assessment appeals, personal injury and sex/age discrimination cases. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Stone began his legal career as a trial lawyer working for the Allegheny County Public Defender's Office. In 1981, he founded the firm of Stone & Stone, where he practiced for more than 25 years. Mr. Stone is a frequent lecturer on government ethics, the Pennsylvania Sunshine Act and Right-to-Know Law, local zoning of Marcellus gas drilling, and the drafting of related ordinances. His memberships include the Allegheny County Bar Association, Allegheny County & Western Pennsylvania Association of Township Commissioners, Association of Municipal and School Solicitors, and the Local Government Academy.
