CHRISTOPHER M. BUELL is an associate in the litigation services group of Babst, Calland, Clements and Zomnir, P.C. He focuses his practice in the areas of oil and gas, admiralty and maritime, and construction and commercial litigation. In the area of oil and gas litigation, Mr. Buell regularly represents exploration and production companies and other energy industry clients in a wide variety of litigation matters encountered by operators in the Marcellus Shale play. His experience includes representing clients with respect to quiet title litigation and other leasing disputes, toxic tort and property damage claims, and municipal ordinance issues. In his construction law practice, Mr. Buell represents clients in mechanics' lien claims and other payment-related issues and construction defect claims and litigation. He is a member of the Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and American bar associations, and The West Virginia State Bar. Mr. Buell currently serves on the Board of Directors for JURIST Legal News and Research Services, Inc., a nonprofit legal news, commentary and research provider. He earned his B.A. degree, with highest distinction in journalism, from The Pennsylvania State University, where he was selected to serve as class marshall and for membership in Phi Beta Kappa. Mr. Buell earned his J.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude with a certificate in advanced study of environmental law, science and policy. While in law school, he served as senior managing editor of the Law Review; as a senior editor for JURIST, Pitt's legal news and research website; and as a teaching assistant for a first-year legal writing class. JEFFREY J. LUDWIKOWSKI is a partner in the Pittsburgh office of Picadio Sneath Miller & Norton, P.C., where his areas of practice include appellate, alternative dispute resolution, commercial and commercial bankruptcy litigation, construction and environmental litigation, insurance coverage litigation, products liability, non-competition matters, and civil rights. His areas of practice also include shareholder, partnerships, and joint venture litigation. Mr. Ludwikowski has often assisted clients in disputes through both mediation and arbitration procedures. He is a member of the Federal, Pennsylvania and Allegheny County (member, Rules Committee) bar associations. Mr. Ludwikowski earned his B.A. degree from the University of Southern California and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Southwestern University School of Law. While in law school, he served as managing editor of the Law Review and was nationally recognized for his oral advocacy skills. Mr. Ludwikowski is a frequent lecturer and course planner for seminars on a wide range of commercial litigation, professional responsibility and trial technique topics. JEFFREY T. MORRIS is a partner with the law firm of Morris Jobe & Cook Attorneys at Law, LLC, where he practices in the areas of zoning, construction, business and commercial litigation matters; representing lenders in state, federal and bankruptcy courts; as well as corporate, transactional and construction litigation matters. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Mr. Morris is a frequent lecturer to the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and the Federal Bar Association on commercial litigation and employment law issues. He is a member of the Pennsylvania, Allegheny (member, Construction Dispute Resolution Group) and American bar associations, and the American Arbitration Association (Commercial Arbitration Panel). Mr. Morris is vice chair of the Bradford-Wood Borough Planning Commission. He earned his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. DEBORAH P. POWELL is a partner with Thorp Reed & Armstrong, LLP. She practices primarily in the areas of construction law and insurance law. Ms. Powell has considerable experience in advising owners, contractors, and design professionals on contracts for projects varying in scope from very small to large and complex. She also regularly advises construction clients and other clients on the protections afforded by insurance policies. Ms. Powell serves as counsel for The Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority. She has litigated major commercial, construction and insurance coverage cases, and that background informs the transactional work she performs for clients. Ms. Powell earned her B.A. degree from the University of Michigan and her J.D. degree, summa cum laude, from the Pittsburgh School of Law. She was notes and comments editor for the University of Pittsburgh Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif. JASON M. YARBROUGH is an associate of Meyer, Unkovic & Scott LLP, where he is a member of the firm's construction law, litigation & dispute resolution and creditors' rights groups. He has represented corporate entities; officers, individuals and family-owned businesses in state and federal courts; and state agencies and arbitrations on a variety of complex commercial, construction and real estate litigation matters. In his construction practice, Mr. Yarbrough represents owners, contractors, engineers, and code enforcement officials in disputes arising out of both public and private construction projects. He has litigated claims in state and federal courts; against state agencies before the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Board of Claims; and against the federal government before the U.S. Federal Court of Claims involving claims for extra work, delays, disruption, breach of contract and warranty, prompt payment and mechanics' lien claims. He frequently represents clients in commercial disputes, the sale or lease of commercial and residential real estate, and real property tax assessments. Mr. Yarbrough earned his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame and his J.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he served as research editor for the University of Pittsburgh Law Review. He was recognized in 2010 and 2011 as a Super Lawyers Rising Star by the publisher of Philadelphia Magazine. Mr. Yarbrough is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit and the U.S. District Court of Western Pennsylvania.
