HON. IDEE C. FOX is a Judge in the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County. She began her private law practice in 1977 concentrating in the areas of civil litigation. Judge Fox earned her B.A. degree at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and her J.D. degree at Washington University School of Law. HON. SANDRA MAZER MOSS is a team leader for the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County, First Judicial District of Pennsylvania in the Civil Division supervising several judges handling complex medical malpractice and products liability cases. She was elected to the bench in 1983 and retained for two additional ten-year terms in 1993 and 2003. Prior to the bench, Judge Moss practiced law for eight and a half years, specializing in medical malpractice, products liability and toxic torts. She was a founding member and chair of the State Judges Mass Tort Litigation Committee. Judge Moss is chair of the First Judicial District's Civil Rules Committee and co-chair of Civil Conversations, a monthly Judicial Education Seminar. She recently was appointed by President Judge Darnell Jones as co-chair of the newly formed Senior Judge's Committee. Judge Moss also is an executive committee member of the Pennsylvania Conference of State Trial Judges, the Law Alumni Association of Temple University Beasley School of Law and the Brandeis Law Society. She is the 2007-2008 president of the Temple American Inn of Court. Judge Moss has been a faculty member at the National Judicial College since 1992. She has taught at Temple University Beasley School of Law, Weidner Law School, Drexel University, Philadelphia City Solicitor's Office, Philadelphia and Pennsylvania bar associations, Pennsylvania Bar Institute and the Pennsylvania Conference of State Trial Judges. HON. GEORGE A. PAGANO is a Judge of the Court of Common Pleas of Delaware County in the Civil Trial Division. He began his private law practice in 1976 and concentrated in the areas of probate law, estate planning, municipal law and taxation. Judge Pagano earned his B.S. degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, his J.D. degree from the University of Michigan and an LL.M. degree from Temple University. HON. LISA M. RAU serves as a state court general jurisdiction judge in the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County. Judge Rau was appointed to the bench by former Governor Tom Ridge in July of 2001 and was elected to a ten year term beginning in January 2002. She served as an adjunct instructor at the University of Pennsylvania Law School and Villanova Law School. Judge Rau also has served on the faculty of the National Judicial College to teach advanced evidence and is an alumna of the National Judicial College. Prior to becoming a member of the judiciary, she was a partner at Kairys, Rudovsky, Epstein, Messing & Rau and was a staff attorney at the Public Interest Law Center of Philadelphia (PILCOP). As a lawyer, Judge Rau specialized in complex civil employment litigation and class action suits. She earned her B.A. degree, magna cum laude, at Colgate University and her J.D. degree at Stanford University. HON. ANNETTE M. RIZZO is a Judge in the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County. She began her private law practice in 1983 and concentrated in the areas of insurance coverage, products liability and civil rights. Judge Rizzo earned her B.A. degree at the University of Pennsylvania and her J.D. degree at Temple University School of Law. HON. ROBERT J. SHENKIN has served as a Judge in the Court of Common Pleas of Chester County since 1990. Prior to becoming a judge, he was in private practice for 20 years with the firm of MacElree, Harvey, Gallagher & Featherman, Ltd. where he engaged in the general practice of law. Judge Shenkin earned his B.B.A. degree at the University of Michigan and his J.D. degree, with distinction, at Duke University School of Law. He served on the Board of Supervisors of West Whiteland Township for 12 years and was Chairman of that Board for 3 terms. Judge Shenkin is a member of the American, Pennsylvania, and Chester County bar associations, and was a member of the House of Delegates of the PBA for more than 25 years. HON. GREGORY E. SMITH was appointed to the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County on November 10, 1991. Before his appointment to the bench, Judge Smith was a founding partner of Brown, Vance, Jackson & Smith. As a past president of the Philadelphia Chapter of the National Judicial Council, he was recently elected chairman emeritus. Judge Smith was the financial secretary of the National Bar Association Judicial Council. He also was the coordinating judge for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Waiver Judges, a member of the Court of Common Pleas Educational Committee and a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association Racial and Gender Bias Task Forces. Judge Smith serves on the Judicial Ethics Committee of the Pennsylvania Conference of State Trial Judges. HON. ALLAN L. TERESHKO is a Judge in the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County. HON. LEON W. TUCKER is a Judge in the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County. Judge Tucker was appointed by the Governor of Pennsylvania, Edward G. Rendell to the Trial Court of General Jurisdiction on June 11, 2005. He was confirmed by the Pennsylvania Senate on June 30, 2005 and elected for a ten year term in November, 2005. Prior to the bench Judge Tucker's 26 year private practice encompassed Civil and Criminal Law, Including serving as an Assistant District Attorney for the City of Philadelphia and several clerkships for the Judiciary. MODERATOR - ROBERT J. FOSTER is a partner in the law firm of Reger Rizzo & Darnall LLP, where he practices in the areas of litigation; including personal injury, truck litigation, employment disputes, insurance contract litigation, insurance defense liability, subrogation, general liability, business and appellate work. He is an adjunct professor at Temple University, where he teaches legal and ethical issues in sports and recreation. Mr. Foster has been a frequent speaker and online moderator on advanced issues in legal technology, trial practices, bad faith litigation and legal research and writing. He earned his B.A. degree, with distinction and honors, from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from Georgetown University.
